Need Help

Post by WshSkins22 »

Hey I took your guys' advice and am looking for some tickets on ebay. Now I see some good prices, but I really dont know much aobut bidding. I am trying to avoid bidding, this is my first time buying skins tickets, but I have been to skins games before.
I see a thing that says buy it now, does that mean if I pay that price no bidding is required? I am looking for tickets to a preseaon game preferably ravens, and the opening day game against bears. What a re some good prices for those tickets? Thanks for your help

Buy it now mean you can buy it now for a higher price than it is listed....

Its alot better to bid and see if you can get a better price, because if you "Buy it Now" it will likely cost you at least twice as much.

I think others have said that maybe you would get better prices if you waited until a week or so before the game.

Anyway, my advice on eBay:

DO NOT bid on an item until the end. I usually monitor the status of something, and you can watch the tendencies of the other bidders. You can place a bid, and set a maximum amount you are willing to pay. You will win the bid so long as nobody bids more than your maximum amount, which is hidden from view. All the others see is the current high bid.

I say you can see people's tendencies, because you are able to see the bid history. If a lot of the previous bids are getting beaten by $1 or $5, then you know that these people are not willing to set a maximum bid - which could be like $30 more than the current bid.

I make no move until the very end. Let the other bidders get comfortable. If you are not active, they have no idea there is another competitor. If you have high-speed internet, wait until about 1-2 minutes left in the countdown, place your bid, and set a maximum amount as much as you are willing to pay. It makes it very difficult for others to scoop your bid at the very end.

Also check the several ticket site sponsors (bottom right corner of the site). The Ravens game is only a scrimmage and is at the Ravens.

We have many ticket brokers contacting us about posting ads on THN and we will be using some of them this year. There will be a box on the front page of the website all season long where you can ALWAYS find Redskin tickets.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Please no...don't say "that's hot," pleeeaaase!

BH,

I guess I would still like a little clarification about the links. It is my understanding that if we click on the links (which I have been doing incessantly), the sponsors are happy. Is there an additional incentive to you (or, thehogs.net) for actual purchases from these sites? Like, thehogs.net gets one 'point' for every click, and 10 'points' for an actual purchase?

It makes you think of Paris Hilton talking to an old guy on a bench, doesn't it.

It makes me think of Paris Hilton, period :puke: - and allllllllll those other people that say it. Every time I hear one of my friends say it, I tell them to stop; and they're all like, dude! I was sayin that way before she was

whatever, man

It just annoys me. What ever happened to the good 'ol days of "that's bad," or "hell yeah," or "rock on, man"?

It makes you tingly in the pants when people say it, doesn't it. It's okay, you're among friends. Be honest.
