Cooley or Winslow?

Post by WshSkins22 »

If you were starting a fotball team this year, and expansion team. And you had to choose between Chris Cooley or kellen Winslow II, who would you choose?
In addition to talent, consider price, heart, off the field, etc.

Cooley, hands down. KII can't catch a football while trying to hold on to his crutches.

Cooley can get hit by 3 guys while making a grab 10 feet in the air and not bobble the ball with 3 seconds left on the clock under pressure and get up and act as if nothing happened... COOLEY!

If you were starting a football team this year, why would you choose a player who is injured for the whole season already :?

Guys this isnt a stupid poll, I meant if Winslow was healthy, or else why would I ask to compare a hurt Winslow? This is actually a good question becaue we didnt get Winslow and arguably got a better guy with a 3rd rounder

WshSkins22, in that case, I can't argue for either, since I never got a good chance to assess K2 other than on draft day (nice suit), in his two games played (10+ ypc), and on crutches (pretty big guns). It's unfair to ask the question when we haven't gotten an equal opportunity to evaluate both guys. My 2 cents

On character, though... Cooley.

The phrasing of this question is so baiased I think you got it from S.I.

Of course Cooley this year, KWII is out for the season.

Now to my real answer. I would pick KWII. Like it or not Kellen & Sean taylor are the type of guys that are going to be stars in this leauge. Young, physically gifted, arrogant, and dumb as a bag of hammers.

If I were an expansion team no question I would pick KWII. Not even close.

Come on guys. I love the Redskins and I love Chris Cooley, he was one of my favorite players last year. But if you were starting an EXPANSION team you'd have to take Winslow. Yeah, he is out for 2005 but you probably arent going anywhere in 2005 anyways. That kid is unbelievably talented and by 2007 or 2008 he could be one of, if not the, best TE in the NFL. Cooley is going to have more of a Frank Wycheck type career, which is great but not comparable. I'd definitely take my chances with K2. It's not the safe pick, but it could (and in my opinion would) pay much bigger dividends in a couple years.

That's an easy one. I'm definitely going CCooley. He's a great worker and has no off the field distractions. At this point, Cooley should be worth more than KW. Cooley can actually run without tripping on some crutches!

Might as well ask "Who's your favorite coach, Joe Gibbs or Tom Landry?"

Maybe dumb was too strong of a word. Maybe it should have said "Easiest" poll ever.

K2 - Held out for more money. Got injured. Runs off at the mouth. Puts himself in danger. Never played more than 2 NFL games in 2 years.

Cooley - Quiet guy. Gets the job done. Blocks great. Hands made of glue. 3rd round guy who isn't a "super star". Great team player. Never been injured.

Thats an easy poll.
