Hopefully Gardner, Barrow, and Morton are gone.
We might as well keep Hall around and see how he looks in training camp before we cut him. I think a lot of people on this board have given Jeff Chandler waaaaay too much credit for very little achievement. There must be a reason he's already been cut twice in a very brief NFL career.

"where are my cuts?"

That's all.
Don't matter where you are.... YOU'RE IN REDSKINS COUNTRY!

my shocker is GARNDER IS NOT GOING ANY WHERE. i dont see the redskisn cutting rod, why , we need all the wr,s we can use right now.
Why? Try reading any quote from Joe Gibbs since about... end of February... try doing a search on the board... try reading into how Gibbs has stated that anyone that did not want to be a part of the team would have their wishes honored and would be sent elsewhere... there were 2 players that fit this category... Coles and Gardner.
batman2k5 wrote:Gibbs was not born yesterday i wil repeat REDSKINS WILL NOT RELEASE GARNDER
Do you follow the redskins in the offseason? Have you heard a single word that joe Gibbs has said on the matter? Namely stating that Gardner would NOT be part of the 2005 plans again and again and again?
I'm sure you THINK you know better than joe, but not only is RG likely to be cut... he HAS to be cut to make the neccessary cap space to sign the rookies. The 2M we save will almost immediately create the rookie cap space needed for the Redskins.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Um Gardner is getting released...mainly because he's some..uh..
Some Crap.
Can't Catch
Can't Run Routes
Can't Pay Attention
Did I mention can't catch?
Has horrible work ethic
Isn't a team player
Is obviously a behind-the-doors whiner.
Goodbye Gardner, don't let the door hit you you on your way to San Diego.

How can he say were not cutting gardner...when he hasnt come to any workouts and isnt expected to, that came from Gibbs' mouth that Gardner wasnt going to come to mandatory workouts either, so doesnt that mean were going to release him

I agree he's gone but he might be kept throughout camp.
The drafting of White and Broughton makes Rocks fate obvious should this be an injury free training camp.
I don't thin he's worthless. He contributes to special teams and even made some plays, he has good work ethic and should find a gig somewhere else...don't be surprised if his pal Stephen Davis puts a good word in for him in Carolina.
Here's one that may cause debate.
Darkarian McCants
He wasn't even active most of the games last season and he got a pretty decent contract just a year ago. Sure, he's our biggest receiver at the moment but he is buried on the depth chart and he does carry some cap weight.
Anyone know his cap hit? Maybe it is not as much as I think.
burp.
batman2k5 wrote:why dont we just cut , gardner, and mccant , well we dont need a wr, why stop there lets cut, arrington, taylor, rock , betts, and cooley we dont need them
we have jansen back and raback so the offense is going to be like the colts lol
what a joke
You have much to learn my young padawan.

So cap wise it wouldn't be a good idea, but then again, they took the Coles hit.
They better give the guy a shot in camp, I'm an advocate of playing who you're PAYING.
No problem. Don't forget that there's a salary cap table in the team info section... and while I would never profess it to be 100% accurate or anything, it will give you a good idea. I admittedly have a few of the 'smaller' names to add to the list to make it complete, but I only update a couple of times in the offseason due to all of the moves. I'm adding a few more entries today though.

McCants is staying, and I agree that Rock and one of our kickers is gone. Gardner should already be packed.
I wouldn't be surprised to see either Raymer or Friedman on their way out.
I think one of either Molinaro or Wilson will go. I remember reading that one of the two was more versatile, while the other could only play left tackle. I know this would be 2 cuts from the O-line, but I'm trying to think of guys that aren't absolutely necessary or could be easily upgraded.

he may be much better, but is he a MUCH better value. He is injury prone, and costs a lot more than chandler, and to add to it Chandler did fine last season, hittong I thnik 5 of 6 kicks, and his one miss was a 57 yarder that I know Hall couldnt hit
