Great way to spend the evening

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Great way to spend the evening

Post by IJ »

Wife-less and child-less for the evening, I pulled out my old VHS copy of Superbowl XXII.

"The Quarter" still THE best 15 minutes of football in NFL history as far as I'm concerned. In fact, it is - period.

Now, I would heartily recommend anyone feeling negative about the Skins watching the game again. A team with a whole bunch of obvious talent looking down and out. Not a chance in the world, and everyone writing them off.

And look what they did.

Are we getting my point people? Positivity is key! Negativity helps no one. Playoffs next season for sure, and hell, why not go crazy - we'll beat them Cowpukes twice for good measure!

Now who's with me?!!!!

Touchdown Ricky Sanders!

I watched that game all the time growing up. I still have it to this day.

Excellent post, and here's my two cents about it. Has anyone ever seen that game on ESPN2 Classic? Well, when they do, there's a clip on it where the Skins are down 0-10, and the camera is on the sideline showing Joe Gibbs walking up and down the bench shouting at the team to keep believing, and he says "We're not out of this yet" and "We can do it" "Don't worry". THAT'S the type of guy he is, and how he coaches. Noting is impossible!!!
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

A positive state of mind is key.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Welcome to the board. And yes that was a great game and the best quarter argueably - wish I had the 1972 NFC Championship game - now that would be fun to watch again . . . and again. Maybe just because we kicked the bageebeez out of Dallas.

Go Timmy Smith.

Loved that game especially because the Skins shut up that mouth Tom Jackson from ESPN.
