For the record, President George W. Bush said:

"Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists."

And never said the deformed sentence listed in your signature.

Welcome weneedcharlesmann, Im simply supporting Ramsey cuz he has it in him to be a solid QB and lead us to the playoffs. But you bring up a good point which I am sure a lot us have thought about, if he does do well and take us that far, what do we do about his contract next year? Well I don't even want to begin to address that issue, right now, we have way too much on our plate to worry about that... at least that's how I feel. I am still backing Ramsey...

Hey guys! There is no competition as to what fan can put one or another of our players further down.

This is about hoping that both become assets to our team.

It makes no sense whatsoever to predict gloom and doom for either Ramsey or Campbell. We all can do better than this. Come on!

Ramsey will NEVER be Gibbs "guy".

He didn´t draft him. Plain and simple.

Every person that reaches some degree of power in any organization brings in people he can trust when he arrives into that organization.

Gibbs brought a lot of his old position coaches and Brunell, which didn´t workout. Now he has brought Campbell.

If Ramsey can´t read those two clear signs of the head coach not liking him, then we shouldn´t be saying he´s a "smart" young fellow.

Actions speak louder than words.

Joe Gibbs does not speak through two sides of his mouth. When Joe says Patrick Ramsey is his starter, I take him at his word.

Anybody that knows anything about Joe Gibbs, knows that he is loyal to his starters and his word.

El Mexican, Joe was able to play and win with different QBs, which he did NOT choose. Patrick would not be the first QB he makes a winner among those he did not pick.

Look at our history before you run away with a judgment like that.

And no one hears Ramsey say anything but the positive. That's what a smart QB would do. Like stated before at the end of the season it can go either way.

Other teams will be looking at how Ramsey handles these situation as well as how he performs on the field.

Gibbs doesn't say much either. But whatever happens he'll have a QB in place when the season starts and it will be someone on the team now

People.

Look carefully at what Gibbs is saying.: "Ramsey is our starter".

Right now, he´s the best QB on the roster, thats it. He´s the best person for that particular position right now. But still, Joe has brought other people to a) substitue him right now (Brunnell) or b) substitute him in the near future (Campbell)

Try to take this same example into your everyday life: Your boss brings in not one but TWO guys who do the exact same you do, but one has more experience and the young guy is the "chosen" one for future years.

The signals are obvious. Joe is telling Ramsey to take a hint, even though its quite bluntly.

Right now, he´s the best QB on the roster, but I recall a similar situation with Jay Schroeder (sorry if my spelling is faulty) back in the 80´s where he was by far the most talented QB on the team but not one Joe really trusted.

Let's not look into our lives but into the lives of the Washington Redskins and Joe Gibbs.

He saw something about Ramsey taht told him that he needed to work with him to get where he wanted him to be. The proof is in the time he spent on the bench during the Brunell era.
When Ramsey was close to ready he put him in there. Now he has to look to a future that has questions as to if Patrick will be here or not. What does the Washimgton Redskins Team President do? Should he wait until next year and see what happens? or should he have drafted a young QB in the draft knowing he'll have at least a year to work with him

Gibbs is simply preparing for the worst like redskinfan1 said. If Ramsey does well he'll be our starter next season also.

- No evidence for that

- We know what it looks like when Gibbs dislikes a QB. It looks like Stan Humphries in '91.

- Why did Gibbs give the starting job to Mark Rypien, and promote Jeff Rutledge over Humphries? (a) Rypien studied hard during the off-season, worked out, and overcame his tendency to miss the blind-side rush. (b) Humphries did not study the playbook, came to camp out of shape, failed to concentrate when he was in camp, and behaved as if he should start no matter what. (And admitted later that he had fouled up his chance with Gibbs and the Redskins)

- Has Ramsey behaved like Humphries? Not that I've noticed.

We have had this discussion over and over. Conclusion?

(1) Gibbs will always play the guy who can win

(2) He decided that Ramsey is first string, Brunell second

(3) Campbell was drafted as a development project, as Gibbs and everyone else with the team has said again and again.

(4) Only the TV bobble-head sports entertainment guys entertain the idea that Gibbs might suddenly switch to Campbell next season. The bobble-head TV guys talk to draw viewers. Ignore them.

You know what...Ramsey will NOT be on this team for more than 2 years, your right for one thing batman, if he loses hes gone if he wins hes gone, if he loses hes gone by the will of the org. and if he wins hes gone by his own will. He many even decide to stay. Now batman, you say Brunell sucks right, and IM sure Joe Gibbs somewhat thinks that too, and that is the reason for CAMPBELL, because of what I told you aobut Ramsey. Campbell has shown a LOT of potential, and in 2 years if or if not ramsey leaves, we will have a good quarterback. This is the situation, we will NOT lose, gibbs will not let us that is the reason for multiple qbs
