Updating previous reports, ESPN.com's John Clayton reports Oakland Raiders RB Charlie Garner will pay $400,000 to the Raiders to buyout the remainder of his contract and become a free agent at the start of March. Garner fell short of hitting incentives in his contract that would have automatically voided the final year of the pact. He was scheduled to make $4.227 million in 2004.
