It doesn't look like it will take cornerback R.W. McQuarters long to find work, either. McQuarters, also released by the Bears this week, is expected to visit the Washington Redskins, who already have Shawn Springs, first-round pick Carlos Rogers and ex-Bear Walt Harris at cornerback. He also could fill punt-returning duties as the Redskins are going to cut ties with Chad Morton and might not want to use wide receiver Santana Moss in that role.
The Miami Dolphins also are believed to have interest in McQuarters.
It still makes me chuckle though, that whenever someone is released, within minutes he's linked to the Redskins.

I'd LOVE to have him! He'd take care of the PR job...which ABrown might not be too good at. Plus we need some GOOD players at CB for depth. Even though Jimoh is a nice guy, he can't play on the field too much.
Glad to see they're not planning to use SMoss with Special Teams!
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."
It might be nice to have some depth, and he might be the guy to bring it but his punt return skills are going to give him a pretty good payday... and we already have Brown, Thrash, Moss, etc. etc. etc.

If we get McQuarters....CMorton can definitely start packing his bags right now.

How many defensive backs do we need? I guess the coaching staff knows whats best.

I know he can still play..he had his second highest tackle mark last year with 67, 55 of them being solo tackles.....he has 10 career interceptons in his 7 years and had 2 ints last year....and those two ints came against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving...if he can average 2 ints versus the cowboys, we might beat them.....lol

Yeah, maybe he'll be another SSprings! They both seem to be past their prime but still can produce! Just look at SSprings' year last year!

Come on guys, cut Jimoh a little slack. He had two bad games two years ago, and now he can never live it down.
He was one of our best ST players last season and we have lots of depth above him; enough that if he ever sees the field as a CB, we have bigger worries than him.

The June 1st cuts and later cuts are going to be difficult. It seems like we have a solid group of guys.

One of the reasons he was cut was b/c of his lack of disipline. That doesnt work so well in Williams Defense. They must be disciplined to play under him. Even though he is able to return punts, i dont think its worth it. A guy in his later part of his career not willing to reneg. 2.1 mil salary to a longer termed contract is crazy. I dont know if we necissarily need him. He is going to cost us also, so for all of you who want him, get ready to loose a couple of guys for just him.
