Jason campbell
Is he gonna start?
welcome to the site!
The way I see it is sort of like the good news and then there's the bad news! The good news is he won't start for many years because we have such a great QB already "starting"! The bad news is we will only get to see our furure great QB every now and then for many years while he waits for his chance to lead our team and there will be some future great QB backing him up!
You can tell everyone you were here when it all began.
We are so lucky to have this great coach with a "vision" for our future!

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

welcome to the site UCONN2K5.... Jason will start.....
in 2007 or 2008.
The only way we will see him start, is if Ramsey screws up major, and then Brunell screws up his second chance.... So as you can see the chances are very slim.
Jason campbell is going to be our QB of the future the next Doug Williams or maybe close to that. Were not rushing him into anything...

Why do people wonder if Campbell is going to start this year? It's beyond me why people think he's going to start. But, I'll say this: For the first time in a LONG time, I'm actually looking forward to watching a pre-season game. We might get to see some of him during the pre-season. I'm interested to see how he does in the pre-season. I'm not expecting him to have such an awesome pre-season where people are going to want him to start, but I'm anxious to see how he looks, i.e. how comfortable he is in the pocket, out of the pocket, rolling out, spirals, hand-offs, etc... I'm looking forward to seeing him progress over the next few years. In the meantime, Ramsey is the way to go!!
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

Culpepper didn't start his rookie season. Starting a rookie QB is a recent NFL development. It used to be standard practice for a rookie QB to ride the pine for atleast a year.
Go Skins!!!
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?

After the upcoming season, you won't hear the word "Redskins" without his name being mentioned.

As much as I am a Ramsey doubter, he has earned at least the right to go into camp as the #1 qb. But it isn't by much. If he truly gets outplayed by Brunell or even Campbell then one of them should be the starter.
***Poster of the Year*** Hail to the Redskins. Everything else is inferior. Guess who's not a HOMER on this site.

Could end up like Tony Banks though wrost wonderlic test rating in the draft (isn't an average Qb when it comes to smarts, really dum) but could be like Mcnabb were the attributes bail him out.

yeah- it is an abberation for a rookie QB to do very well and win many games. therefore barring injury to the incumbent starter (such as pittsburgh in 2004), coaches only start rookie QBs if they know that their team is going to suck that year anyway. they figure, "we might as well get him some experience now while we suck, so we don't have to waste that time developing him when the team is actually good".
otherwise, the standard and preferred procedure is to let him study for one year while a reliable veteran starts and "shows him the ropes".
a good example is the giants last year- tom coughlin went into the season with kurt warner ("reliable veteran") as the starter so eli manning could learn from the bench. but despite a few more wins than expected, he saw enough to decide that his team wasn't really any good and wasn't going to make the playoffs anyway. so he yanked warner and tossed in eli to give him some experience, in the hopes that he'd be more prepared to start in 2005.

Personally I don't see "The Next Doug Williams" as a big compliment...
Doug Williams was pretty good, but he was a journeyman QB who found a niche with the Redskins. I'd rather Campbell be the next Brad Johnson (in terms of skill, and playing style, not leadership). Campbell's style and size seem a lot like Johnson's, I think we have a star in the making here!

Hopefully he'll start if PRamsey were to go down for some reason. Don't even mention noodle arm's name!
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."
