first of all bledsoe is an upgrade over vinny and better then any qb the skins have on their roster

henry is a big physical corner that will be alot better then the rookie rotation of cb's they had last year, plus he is back with his position coach. check the defense stat from cleveland last year. they were poor against the run but did well against the pass. touchdowns were scored on them due to the poor pass rush and defensive line play.

glenn is a superb 3rd corner. his stats were alittle bit better in all areas except for sacks when compared to the over priced springs. even though glenn( 32) is a few years older then springs(30) his body has had less wear and tear. also glenn is better then harris and wilds.

river is a proven leader not a 40 something fill in.

as far as defense you gotta remember the boys were in the top 3 in defense the year before last. they loss woodsen at FS and edwards at CB so they suffered. their defense is a mixuture of young talent and veterans like ellis, glover and dat and williams who will bring them along just fine.

There may be a few teams that are better than we are right now BUT there are definetly a lot of teams that are not as good as we are right now. That being said I'm sure we will be even better by the time the season gets into the 8th or 10th week.

These rankings are like lint from my dryer - they are absolutely worthless.

Anybody who thinks the GIants or the pukes are better (at this time) than the Redskins is delusional.

not a banner name in the bunch, but seeing that Brunell did not have a banner year last year, Ramsey is gonna be looking over his shoulder at the vet or the rookie every mistakes he makes

in Dallas henson is atleast a year away, unless he moved in at the ranch during the offseason, romo should be #2 and bledsoe will make a few mistakes, but all in all he will manage the team with the weapons it has for him. every now in then he will make some big plays, i think he has more offensive weapons in place in dallas, then he did at buffalo.

well in that case bledsoe has a very contract friendly 2 year deal.

I would give this really to the skins, due to the fact that henson has a year to wait, and i think ramsey will play his but off in his finally year of his contract. but i still think bledsoes weapons will compliment him

I know you guys are going to bash me for this and call me a closet Cowboys fan, but these are the facts. You could say whatever you want about us being better than the Cowboys but here are the facts. They made the playoffs two years ago. Last time we made the playoffs was 5-6 years ago. 13-14 they have beaten us. They have made durastic strides this offseason. We are the same team on paper as last offseason, actually worse. Say whatever you want about Jansen being back or Lavar, but injuries are apart of Football and there is no guarantte that we will be 100% healthy on opening day next year. Someone else might get hurt. Bledsoe may not be good, but if Vinny is good enough to beat us than so is Bledsoe, there o-line has been upgraded, same with their defense and secondary. We can't say were as good or better than the Cowboys until we start showing it on the field. Parcells record 13-6

I agree with everything you said...

Your opinion is exactly why we are ranked so low in the rankings and quite frankly we dont deserve to be rated high.

However I still love my team and believe that we are capable of beating the Giants and the Cowboys. Last year no longer matters. We are a better team than we were last year.

Without Jansen, Arrington, Bowen, a pass rush..., a consistent offense
and
With 50/50, 1 disgruntled WR, Patrick with no timing with the WR's, a 40 year old black man on the line, a new scheme, no coaches....

We almost beat the Steelers, and Eagles, two very good teams which didn't run us into the ground.

We were missing a few cogs and we've found a few of them.

Jansen is back.
Upgraded the Center.
=
Improved running game (A).
Patrick Ramsey being the starting QB = Timing with the WR's(B).

A+B = improved offense which was non existant last year.

We lost
1 over achieving MLB
1 above average CB

However we have 15 LB's, 1 of which is highly coveted by Williams that we got from the Browns I believe. We also have Arringtons replacement, and McCune among others.

We drafted Rogers who has potential to be better than Smoot.

What we lost has been negated and we actually got more. McCune and that other new guy wouldnt be here mostly if we resigned Peirce. Peirce wasn't the victim of 2005 Snyder, he was the victim of 2000-2003.

I'll add more later, its late and Im sleepy. My point is that we are an improved team.

I just want to add that, IMO, the "rankings" are someone's "opinion" and they use "stats" to back up these "opinions". I think these can be used any way you want them to and some here choose to see a bad picture for us no matter what.

I would point out that Joe has had a year (okay 17 months - but 1 full season!) to get things going again and IMO with the players he has now on offense and with his coaches I think we are a better team offensively right now, and, I think we are better than the pukes and both NY teams right now. This is my opinion.

I think that the D is presently at least as good as last year and I feel may even be better. There are IMO more concerns here than offensively because of both Lavar & Barrow not running yet. But the D right now is still better than a lot of other teams and is going to have a lot to prove this season.

Again, I will say that the glass is more than half full and I'm looking forward to seeing that on the field shortly.

Not gonna bash ya Manfreda... Theres a difference in putt'n down the SKINS and just mak'n a point based on logic and stats... for me at least, it's well respected. They made the playoffs 2003 yup, didnt cut it, they got knocked out the first round right? We made it in 99, destroyed the Lions and lost to tampa in the second round because of a play I think was pure BS! Alstot got lucky and we missed 3 tackles on him and he scored... Im not really making much of a point here, but you mentioned these things and I just thought I'd stat some facts like statboy

But hey, we would have been in the NFC Championship, at least we were a lot closer... the pukes have beaten us 12-14 times, not 13, not a big difference I know... I also know based on that fact it may be a little biased to say they are not better than us. But your a SKINS fan man... havent you watched every game? No excuses but havent you seen how they beat us? Last year monday night? I was sitt'n in the endzone on that "pass interference", there was no pass interference! I saw it! Also Collinsworth wrote an article two days later stating how bogus the call was. Then in December, we had them, and that last BS bomb play they made, never mind the fact we didnt capatilize on redzone oppurtinities. Then 2 years ago on opening day... overtime? over the middle? Well these are just 3 examples, im not going to babble too much more... but you can see, based on these, I have to say... I our defense is better and Gibbs is in his second year and I do honestly honestly honestly think the SKINS are better. Gibbs is rounding up his own players and figuring out how to plug our weaknesses his own way... I really think is ignorant to think that he's not... I mean, he's not sitt'n on is butt... he's watch'n film, pick'n out players we dont know to plug the holes... and listen to some fans whine and gripe...trust me, he's doing it (plus the 3 crazyzeb hightlights reminded me of what we are capable of

Yup, we'll have injuries, but so will they... pukes should be in the 20's, but so should we, but not 29!
