He should be our #3 but unfortunately he is our #4 switching to their potential #2. You can't blame him for that.
"Peek into Joe's playbook". I love it. lipsrsealed.gif
There's only about a hundred years worth of tape on Joe's playbook. He hasn't changed it much, and Hasselbeck has about as much insight to any new tweaks to it as Mark Rypien does.
Look, the Giants needed somebody cheap, and they needed it fast. Miller went down unexpectedly. Tim has shown that he can come in and be solid. Is he a starter ? Not in this league.
We had no room for four QB's, so somebody had to go.
THE NEWS
The Giants entered the second year of Eli Manning's career with the intention of signing a veteran quarterback to guide their young signal caller. However, after an injury put an end to veteran Jim Miller's short stint with the team, recent waiver claim Tim Hasselbeck is the leading candidate to serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind Manning, according to the New York Times. Hasselbeck is only three years older than Manning and has started two fewer games.
OUR VIEW
Manning will be the starter, which means Hasselbeck will battle Jesse Palmer for the No. 2 job during training camp. The odd man out appears to be heavyweight signal caller Jared Lorenzen, who might be destined for the practice squad.
