Even though McCune is the best story, I still want Barrow to get his shot.

I think he is actually someone who really wants to get back, and hopefully he can come back healthy because out of all of our 422 MLB, I think he is the best so I'm rooting for Barrow.

Ideally, McCune or Marshall will step up and perform well enough to start. Holdman and Barrow (if healthy) are veterans and known quantities and I think either would be a competent backup, but I'd love to see one of the unheralded guys blossom.

I'm confused by this statement. You say he's going to start yet he's dumber than a box of rocks. Pierce was GW's defensive QB, an extension of GW on the field. Whoever replaces Pierce is going to have to be smart. I'm rooting for Barrow or Marshall with the hope that the rookie shows enought promise to eventually take over the position. Unless GW shifts the defensive QB role over to Washington the MLB is not going to be dumber then a box of rocks.
Go Skins!!!
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?

Well, I would like Barrow. I never thought of Pierce as a physical specimen, but a good mind. I think Barrow could do that and have McCune come and start in the late part of '05 or the start of 2006...

Simple fact is, his speed and strength could really help our defense and I like what he can maybe do verse Jim Finn, Jon Ritchie, and Darian Barnes. I like a MLB who can take a lead blocker easily Plus, we need someone who can just slam big backs, which was our problem a couple times last year such as the case of Jamal Lewis.

Also, I just think his athleticism might make our LBs the most athletic 4-3 group in the NFL.

Umm if you want us to have the most athletic LB core in league then we'd use McCune not Barrow

I have a feeling Holdman is going to surprise a lot of people. Williams wanted him last year, and they finally got him this year. Ther'es a reason why Williams wanted him this bad.

...I meant when he ends up starting... Didn't I mention he'd nopt start immediately? Also, I didn't say we HAD to have that.

Looks like you're right, Dude. Also looks like Barrow's gone, as I feared. Last I heard Gibbs says his thigh is half inch smaller on injured leg, which is another way of say bye bye. Apparently Gibbs is being a bit ingenuine. They need Barrow's money to pay the new guys. I hear Hall might be suprise cut, and a few others who aren't so surprising: three linebackers, Dmac, Rock, Morton.

Losing Hall, McCants, Rock, and Morton all pretty soon?

It's hard to believe that we won't see any of those guys here next year--especially with our general weakness at the WR spot (and McCants being our biggest receiver). Morton is playing for pretty cheap last I checked, and we need a good kicker (as was proved last year in Hall's absence). Also, I like Rock's prospects a little better since finding out that Gibbs might start using a FB more often.

I'm not saying that all of those players will be back for next year. But all of them being cut? Very unlikely, in my opinion.

I dont have a favorite but i think Marshall deserves it after a good season he had last year. But i want the best man out there be it Mcune Lemar or Holdman.

Holdman will push for a starter position - but the D is not the problem.
