I've never had the blessing to attend a skins game but I do remeber the 1st game I saw.

It was the 1992 superbowl and I sat infront of the tv at my grandparents house, I was 8 years old.

Welcome talon9. I liked it, of course I'm only a piggie so what do I know.

Take it from a swine....that was a nice post.

My first redskin game is hopefully this december in Arizona. This is the last year for quite a while that they are coming to AZ. so I've got to get it done. I will be posting a "Help me" thread to get advise on the whole thing later. Can't wait.

I was only about 5 years old when I went to my first game at 'ol RFK - that was in the early/mid-80's. Needless to say, I don't really remember who we played. Since then, I usually score tickets to at least one or two games a year. Finally, thanks to SkinsChic (and subsequently Jake), I now have the opportunity to go to every home game this year! D.C. United, the Wiz, the O's,...all playing great...one team left!

My first game was in the 1999 season. We played the Bears that day and THAT WAS A GAME! Stephen Davis broke one for an 80 yard touchdown. That really got the crowd pumped up, but nothing was better then seeing "Big Daddy" Wilkerson return a interception for a touchdown. That was just hilarious! He intercepted the ball at the 10 and by the time he got to the other 20 yard line you could literally see him huffing and puffing away. For a second, I didn't think he would make it. :) But Darrel Green must have encouraged him a little bit and he ended up scoring.

We ended up blowing them out that game. I can't tell you by how much. I lost count of the score once we broke 40 points. That was by far the best game I have ever been to.

My first regular season game was the cinny game last season when everyone was shouting for Ramsey to go in. It was great that it finally happened. Hopefully that will be the last time we see Brunell on the field again.

first game

Post by Punu »

Mine was at RFK in like 92 or 93 against the cards... I had been going to Carlisle, PA. with my dad every year, finally I get to go to a game... The Stadium was packed and shaking... I LOVED IT! SKINS fans everywhere, you feel like your with thousands of your closest friends...It was Gary Clarks first game against the SKINS. I remember sitt'n at the end of the tunnell when the punk cards were leaving, Gary Clark was gloat'n sooooo much about being #1 and saying not so nice things... that was a moment I freak'n hated him... I remember it like it was yesterday, we were like 5 feet from him and he was in a his street clothes leaving... Not how I imagined my first game, but all in all... it was a turning point for me, being 14 years old... I felt so much passion for the SKINS that day... it was great

Ten years ago at Texas Stadium (Dump) and I was surrounded by idiots, never been to a home game still a dream, someday!

Testeverde even talks like quaterback, but he has the heart of a placekicker.

1981 vs Detroit. Ironically, JG's first season. I was 7 years old. Life changing event... I was in awe of RFK and the crowds. I've never looked back.

BTW - there's a couple old threads on this out there. Might be interesting to look back (not taking a shot for starting a new one, btw).

It seems like we get some of these threads repeating every year or two---maybe I'll go back and quote-post some of the good stories of back when.

Having the new thread is also nice because of all the new stories it brings up (not a shot at your post, '74 ;)). I'm loving this thread--it makes me want to get to a game so badly.

Yeah, I knew there were old threads on this topic but it's offseason and its nice to see what we remember about one of our greatest days. (Or at least one of MY greatest days.)

It's fun to hear about stories, though most of them so far seem to be games where we lost.
To the member who was talking about Big Daddy's TD interception: Big Daddy used to live near me. His daughter used to go to my school. We were good friends, loved the redskins. They later moved to Detriot.
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."

I was at that game. He was really boo'd by us fans. I remember thinking when he was replaced by Ramsey, wow, Joe listened to us!
Go Skins!!!
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?
