First Redskin Game
My first Redskin game was like two years ago. The game where the Seahawks came into town. We had been on a losing streak and I was pretty sure Spurrier's Fun 'n Gun wasn't going to cut it, once again.
The game was very close. It ended with a pass from RGardner to TCanidate in the corner of the endzone. He was wide open, that was the game winner. I'll never forget it.
I was in section 103, around the 22 yard line. I sat in the third or fourth row seats from the field. Not sure if those were dream seats, but they were absolutely awesome.
I was just 4 rows away from the wall!!!
The roar of the fans was awesome. One of the most exciting times thus far.

What was your first Redskin game like? Where did you sit? How'd you enjoy it?

"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."
...Packers game last year.
I have to say, with the fans leaving so soon, I was embarrassed.
No offense, but I like the Razorback games a lot more. The only time people left is when we were up like 30 verse New Mexico State and it was only that close because we stopped passing like halfway through the second.
The other time was when were ganging up on Ole Miss and it was like 30 degrees, windy, and there were close to no warm drinks left by the middle of the third.
Also, the only time anyone stood up was when Portis caught the TOUCHDOWN pass. Other than that, it was pretty boring and everytime I started to stand up, people just stared.

1991 or 1992 against the Falcons.
Most of what I remember comes from my mom whispering into my ear during the pregame warmups... "Jake, yell 'Jerry Glanville, you're a jerk!'" I yelled it but I was 4 or and didn't think anything of it. I should have said that about Deion, though. I like Glanville a lot more.
I don't know if it was the "Seat Cushion" game or not but I'm sure we beat Atlanta that day. Don't remember too much about it, sadly.

We didn't lose to the Cowboys 27-0 last year did we? I was there, it was a Monday night game and the Cow fans were very obnoious around me. We almost came back to tie the game after most of those obnoious cowboy fans left. If the foul on Gardner on the last play of the game was called we could've kicked a field goal and tied it. The other cowboy game last year was at Dallas where Vinny throw a touchdown at the last moment to win the game. That sucked.
Go Skins!!!
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?

Redskins / St Louis Cardinals, about 1965. Bill McPeak was angry at Sonny Jurgenson, so he played the University of Maryland's Dick Shiner.
I wanted to see Sonny, but it might not have mattered. All I remember from the upper deck, around the 10 or 20 yard line, was that the angle gave me a great view of the giant holes the Cardinal blockers drove through the Skins defense. Johnny Roland and (maybe) John David Crow marched them up and down the field all day.
I looked up the score: 37 - 16 in favor of the other guys.
DC Stadium was beautiful, though.
I still remember my first real Redskin game. I had been to some preseason games prior to it. It was a playoff game at RFK against the Vikings. Riggo ran all over the place. I had endzone seats and the Skins were near the goal line when they pulled Riggo. As he came out of the game he took of his helmet and bowed to salute the crowd. The crowd went nuts chanting "We want Dallas", even though Dallas had not yet played it's game to qualify for the NFC championship game. That stadium was shaking. This was probably 1982.

This is my first post so please forgive me
if i mess this up.
My first Skins game was a preseason game at RFK in the mid 80's. My grandfather and i went i dont remember who we played only that we won..
My Grandfather was the biggest skins fan I have ever known. he used to be a member of the redskin band( I dont know at what time frame late 50's early 60's I believe, The picture we have is very old ) They used to stand and sing Hail to the Redskins after every score. My Mother still has the redskin Blazer and Hail to the Redskin Sheet music they used .
The reason i mentioned this is because the way i got to go with him in the first place. One day he was talking about Joe Gibbs and me in my innocence asked him who that was(Gibbs) He looked at me as if i had grown three heads(LOL!) and he took it upon himself to rectify the situation. I have been hooked on the skins ever since.

My first game was 1979 against Dallas. Skin's won the game. I'm blanking on the score but I remember Ken Houston knocking Roger Stabauch out cold when the Pie's were close to scoring.
My other memory of that game was some guys came in waving an Iranian flag. This was the time of the hostages. The fans in the section they were in kicked the snot out of them before the game even started. The cops then took the Iranians away.
What a great game.

My first game was in 1995 on Christmas Eve at RFK. It was against the Panthers and Frerotte was our QB. We won. The cool thing I remember about that game was at half time, they put a Christmas tree with presents everywhere at the center of the field. Then...they had a ton of kids lined up at each goal line. A whistle blew..then they all took off running to grab a present like bats out of hell.
I'll never forget the feeling of attending my first game....at RFK. It was surely something special.

Despite my love for the Redskins I've never been to a Skins game
.... My parents just arent interested in football and my older brothers are to lazy to take me. I'll have my car by the 2007 season definitely though and I plan to go to at least 3 or 4 games a season depending on how much money I have

2001 week one in San Diego. Ton of Skin fans in the stadium.
Marty's first game as head coach. Tomlinson ran all over our defense. Jeff George keeps fumbling the ball and get's into a arguement on the sidelines with Marty. Banks finishes the game.
Smoot was a rookie and suckered Flutie into thinking he was beat, Smoot recovered and intercepted the ball. Man is his closing speed fast.

Well I can tell you this, I wasn't embarrased to stand up. I mean, I was having a great time and didn't care what others would say about me. It's not like I knew them anyway.
That was such a nice game. I mean, I was SURE we were going to lose until SSpurrier pulls a crazy play out of the bag and acutally succeds. It was great! I remember almost losing my voice after that play.
Gardner was like RIGHT in front of me too!! He threw it across the field and scored us a TD.
Does anybody remember that play? Gardner to Candidate for a score?

I was sitting a few seats down from Frank.

I was at this game too. Tim Dwight ran back the opening kickoff on opening day 2001. It was downhill from there.
My frist Skins Game was in Arizona 2000. Skins lost and Aneas Williams ran back a Stephen Davis fumble for a NFL record tying 104 yds. Another sad day. This is all about to change ....playoffs get ready for Washington Football.

My first 'Skins game started out with a never-ending 20-hour bus ride from London, ON, Canada.
We saw the 'Skins take on the Texans, it was a great game to watch. Both Betts and Watson had 100-yard games, and of course the Redskins blocked a punt (3 for 3 so far) of course.
Our seats were in the endzone, 100-level, great seats.
Have now seen 3 games, one in Detroit and two in DC...planning on heading to the Cowboys game this upcoming season, can't wait.
