He shouldn't go to either unless he wants to end up in Iraq or Iran. We've got ten years of catastrophe ahead of us thanks to our present incompetent administration.

What's wrong with the Air Force...just my two cents...I think it's the best branch of the military to serve in.

I've served in both the army and navy...and have worked directly with officers from both branches. Ultimately, it depends on the individual.

The Army is obviously more intensive and physical, whereupon the Navy is more busniness oriented. My two cents, I've applied for the Army Warrant Officer program and await response.

And to you, notquitecrazyhorse, I think we've established your less than optimal stand on our oval office. Me'thinks we could do without it being salt and peppered into every non-football discussion. We were discussing a young man's future...not yours.

I have to agree with skinz74. It really depends on what your son wants to do. I would recommend that your son visit with both the army and navy recruiters. I'm sure they'll answer all questions that he has and then he can decide which branch is the best one for him. Just make sure that he doesn't sign anything that is thrown in front of him until he has made up his mind..............and I do mean anything! :)

I wish him Good Luck!

Get A clue before you speak!!

Let me guess you've never served?

Did you know that the military deployed more during the Clinton adminstration than is the previous 60 years!

I as a 20 year vet of the Air Force respect your opinion but please base it on something other than pure hate. The man simply ask for our opinion on the two schools, not about the current administration, which by the way will not be in office when his son comes in.

74... I totally respect my sister services, you guys truly define "laying your life on the line" God Bless them all. I just think the Air Force offers a better quality of life than the other services. That being said I think there is much more camaraderie in the other sevices.

DEHog, I'll have to agree on that one...quality of life is triplicated in the Air Force.

In Pensacola, where almost all naval aviation is trained, the Air Force offers a housing allowance to it's students because our barracks there, which are only a few years old are below their standards.

Wish we had it like that...

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far, I really appreciate it.

We live in the east, I think he's thinking the east is good, versus the Air Force in Colorado. I'd be fine with the Air Force too...

I'm not too worried about the War, Iraq, etc... He would go to school for 4 years first.

I just think West Point and Naval Academy sound super classy...am I making too much of that? West Point only picks 1500 kids a year.

Again, thanks!
