Who I also want to get is Angelos. I know he set that up. He set up the rain. And he set up not calling a Rain Delay when we were ahead by a run. I want him to pay for that crap!

One month does not a season make. Let's address the issue again in three months.
The Nats are one seriously bad team. They remind me of that Movie Major League. Or, does anyone remember "The Bad News Bears"? I sure hope the Nats have a long range plan in place, because they suck right now! If they're lucky, they're on par with an average College team.
Does that go for you too?
honestly, how many Nats games have you seen in Boston right now? I've watched all of them that have been on Television and have been to one game... and although they're not playing like the White Sox right now... they certainly are no where near what you described...
yes... they do make a ton of errors... so if that's where your coming from... I agree... I guess from my point of view... I was thinking the we have so many tough division rivals in the NL East... we were going to stink and sit at the bottom all season... this opening month has been a surprise to me... and I know the chances of us still competing come September are slim... but that doesn't stop me from keeping my fingers crossed..
for now anyways....

The schedule that The Nats have can only make them a better team. I think, in the long run and if they have a good front office in place, they're only a few years away from being good contenders. I just hope the fans and the media don't want instant gratification like so many people in the NFL do. That's why I said that I hope they have a long term strategy, because quite frankly, there was no hope while they were in Montreal. Now, there's hope for the future provided the fans don't get impatient. I wanna see some people at those games.
The Nationals continue to seek a trade for Rockies center fielder Preston Wilson, but they want the Rockies to pick up virtually his entire $12.5 million salary.

BTW - anyone going to the Nats/Cubs game tonight or over the weekend? I'll be there tonight.

I wanna go with my boys to the Nats game on Sunday, after church. Any idea if there are any cheap tickets still available, or is it a sold out game. We were thinking about walking up to the stadium box office to score some tickets. I know the Cubs have a huge following, but will they sell out all weekend?

BTW, do you know if the game will be on WGN 18? (The Chicago station) I know, It's sad that I get that and TBS (Atlanta's sports station) and don't even get to see a teaat plays half an hour away.
Selfish Peter Angelos.

Redeemed - Go to www.natfanatics.com - it's the equivalent of thehogs.net for the Nats (official fan club site basically). Register and they have a ticket exchange button. If you don't see any on there, just post a thread and someone's bound to have some... it's like this site, they can't sell them for more than face value.
That's how I got mine for tonight's game. The same seats were going through secondary ticket outlets for like 90 a pop and I paid face value ($35 seats)... hope that helps.
Go Nats!

Jake - do you have DirecTV?
Or, you can follow it on Nationals.com (if you want to pay like 14 bucks/mo
Philadelphia Phillies- Washington Nationals: The Nationals acquired Marlon Byrd from the Phillies for Endy Chavez in a swap of former starting center fielders who had fallen out of favor with their teams.
"I don't think either player was going to go forward in the organization they were in," Nationals general manager Jim Bowden aid. "They both have ability and they both have to make adjustments if they're ever going to revive their careers."
Byrd was once a prized prospect for the Phillies -- he finished fourth in NL rookie of the year voting in 2003 after hitting .303 with seven homers, 28 doubles and 45 RBI in 135 games. He began last season as the team's leadoff hitter but struggled badly and was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in June. He finished with a .228 batting average, five homers and 33 RBI in 106 games with Philadelphia.
Byrd was hitting .390 in spring training before dislocating his right ring finger on March 20. He started the season on the disabled list and batted .368 with three homers and five RBI in five games of a rehabilitation assignment at Triple-A. Called up early this month, he was 4-for-13 in five games with the Phillies.
Bowden said the 27-year-old Byrd, the 2001 Eastern League MVP at Double-A Reading, would report to the Nationals in time for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
The speedy Chavez had a similar decline with the Washington franchise. The club's primary center fielder the past two seasons in Montreal, he lost his job in spring training when manager Frank Robinson soured on Chavez because of his low on-base percentage.
After stealing 32 bases last year with the Expos, Chavez began this season in the minors. He was called up May 3 and hit .222 in seven games for the Nationals before being optioned back to Triple-A New Orleans a week later. But the last-place Phillies think Chavez can help their struggling offense.
"We acquired an outfielder with exceptional speed, a guy that can bring a lot of energy to the team and gives us another versatile outfielder," Wade said. "He will be sharing time with Jason Michaels and Kenny Lofton in center field but can play all three outfield positions."
