What would you do if Brunell plays?

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

If Brunell plays like he played last year, I'll do ala Eagles fan and jump a bridge.

I dont hate Brunell. I wished he would have played well and he didnt. Therefore let the best man win in this Summers battles.

This whole topic is ridiculous. If Ramsey is hurt, Brunell will play. I hope he earns his money. Why would anyone hope he doesn’t. Granted, I was at the Cinci game and boo’d his play and was happy he was replace by Ramsey. I would not have any problem at all with him coming into the game and playing well.
Go Skins!!!
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?

I dont think anyone would, I believe the rift is being created in that he wont play good. I dont have any faith in him after last season. I'd almost rather have a 2 legged goat get behind center instead. If Gibbs feels he's the best man to be #2 then thats fine. If he isn't then he wont be.

He's probably just eat the ball after it was snapped. But it would still be more entertaining than watching Brunell.

Still no matter who/what lines up under center for us, I'll be cheering for them.

there is no reason to ever allow brunell on the field again. we know we will be crappy if he is out there. we will probably lose. so if ramsey gets hurt, why not just toss campbell out and get him some experience? that seems more sensible. we would probably still lose, but at least there would be something productive gotten out of it. losing with brunell is totally pointless and wasteful.

I doubt that Gibbs would do such a Spurrier thing. I don't think Campbell will see the field aside from preseason games. I'd cry if Mark has to come on the field but I know that Gibbs wants to bring Campbell along slowly. I don't think he'd be ready to really give us a chance at winning. It'd take a catastrophe for Gibbs to put him in.

This is a moot point, Ramsey doesn't get injured.

It's not like Ramsey or Brunell are already head and shoulders better than Campbell because they are not. Campbell played in just about the same scheme in college against real competition.

Oh, then he should be just fine. Gibbs will probably start him right away.

no, it is not a "spurrier" thing. it is an "intelligent" thing. the "spurrier" thing would be to yank ramsey if he isn't doing too well, and put in campbell... then yank him a couple weeks later and put ramsey back in... then yank him and put brunell in... then yank him and try hasselbeck... etc.

when spurrier switched QBs, it was usually voluntary-because he wasn't sure who the best QB was. it is an established fact that ramsey is the best QB on the team now. so i am talking about playing campbell only if ramsey gets injured. it doesn't matter if campbell isn't "ready", that's the point. he will GET ready for the future by playing NOW. the season is already over if ramsey goes down, so the only smart thing to do would be use that time to develop the future.

If Brunell takes one step on that field except in the case of injury to both Ramsey and Campbell it will confirm my worse fears. If I were Gibbs, I would pick up another QB vet as cheaply as possibly and not bother to suit up Brunell. There might be something he could do as an assistant coach.

You should all thank me. I was at the Cinci game where we boo’d Brunell badly and shamed Joe into letting Ramsey play.

You’re wrong if you think Joe will put a rookie in to replace an injured Ramsey when the season is young or we have any shot at the playoffs. If we are completely out of the race he might put Cambell in to get him a little experience.

I can’t say I know what the plan is or how far along Cambell is but I’d be surprised if he plays much next year, no matter the circumstances.

I think with Brunells performance we will see campbell playing more that Brunell. Brunells important job of the season, is looking at the playbook while warming the bench for ramsey when he throws those TDS.

I think Mark would play great....and if he could get in enough practice I think he would really make us proud.

Of course for this to really work Mark would have to hook up with S.O.S. because he knows where all the good courses are.
Yep he may be done with the number 8 but he might be pretty good with a 8 iron

Why diss me when I totally agree with you. I don't think Gibbs will put in a rookie either. That's why I hope the Skins get Brunell out of uniform and pick up an FA vet. Further, Brunell could be helpful as assistant coach. Nothing wrong with his head or personality- he's an intelligent, good guy with leadership skills. It's just that his arm is gone. He ougth to be retired and hired back as a coach. No loss of income for him. Cap savings for the Skins.
