4th Round Trade with Vikings

Post by SkinsFan4Life »

There's been so much discussion about the trade with Denver, I feel OD'ed.

What do yall think about our other trade with the Vikings?

Here are the details:

Vikings get:
4th round, No. 112: Ciatrick Fason, RB, Florida

Redskins get:
4th round, No. 120: Manuel White, FB, UCLA
5th round, No. 154: Robert McCune, LB, Louisville

McCune seems like a steal. I say it's a good deal for us.

I wonder why they did it and why we didn't have more trades like that. :P

The Vikings desperately wanted Ciatrick Fason so they gave us an extra pick to move up to our slot in the 4th round. I loved that deal. It worked out well for us. We got the best fullbacks in the draft with our 4th rounders and we got one of the better linebackers in the draft with our 5th rounder.

I hope McCune ends up being "one of the better LBs in the draft"

Seems a little unreasonable for a 5th round pick.

Let's hope it comes true tho.

It very well may come true. Its not that unreasonable. 2nd Day players go on to become impact players every year. Heck, Kurt Gouveia was an 8th round pick, and we don't even have an 8th round anymore.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

If you have comcast digital cable they have footage on the top 50 draft prospects before the draft and McCune was one of them. After seeing the video I can garuntee you that he will play for the skins and not just special teams. The guy is like twice the size of pierce and very agile. I was very surprised. One thing about Gregg Williams and that defense staff they know how to scout. If you have Comcast go under OnDemand, then Sports, then NFL Network, then Draft, then Players. They also have footage on Campbell and Rogers.

I liked the trade too. Hopefully Manuel White can help us on goal line situations. We had to settle for too many feild goals once we got inside the 5 yrd line.

Great reade (and smaller salary cap implications) every time you get your player in a lower round.
