Hail from Texas

Post by TexasSkin »

Hail from Texas,, I'm real glad ya'll have made this site!
I'm surrounded by idiots, really imagine all your friends, your wife, and your co-workers are cowboy fans, this is my world. I have been a Redskin fan since 3rd grade (1972) and I
moved to the dallas area from Michigan in 1980. I'm telling you it is hard being surrounded by these people, when the skins win there's no big group of friends celebrating with me, and when the skins lose everyone rubs it in because I'm the only skin fan they know.I remain steadfast and dream of going to a Redskin home game someday (I've only seen them at
Texas stadium(Dump)), this site will provide me with an outlet - other folks who feel like I do!!
The Redskins are the best thing that ever happened to football!!!
Oh yeah I have a 15 year old son thats 6'1" 265lbs, that
won a Texas 5A Division 1 State title with his team the Robert E Lee Red Raiders this year, I'm busting with pride!

Welcome TS. Hope you find this site to be a haven from stupidity. We actually have the only smart Cowboys fan as a member as well. I'll let them figure out which it is.
RIP 21

Can someone help? I would like to use an avatar
(Texas Hog's) on a forum here in Texas, where do I find some of these excellent avatars?
Testeverde looks like a quarterback, Testeverde acts like a quaterback,
Testeverde even talks like quaterback, but he has the heart of a placekicker.

Welcome TexasSkin.

The avatars here, other than the ones you found in the profile sections, are custom avatars made for the individual posters here at theHogs.net. I have made the majority of them and when you get to 200 posts on this site you get a custome 100x100 avatar. At 500 posts you get the larger custom 100x200 avatar. You can pm me when you reach your post milestones and I will make something up just for you.

TexasHog's avstar is one of my favorites, but I think he is pretty attached to it and probably won't want it used somehere else.

Happy Posting

I assume you were as distraught as I was during SB VII. Man, when Kilmers pass hit the crossbar . . . still haven't completely gotten over that game.

I hope your stay here lasts -longer- than your marriage might...

Seriously, Welcome to the board. Do not despair. Darrell Green had a similar story and look how it turned out.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Welcome to the Hogs.net!
I feel for you as I'm in a similar pickle, but not quite as bad. My girlfriend is a Texan, so her & my soon to be father in-law love the Cowboys. The rest of her entire family live in Philly and cheer for the Eagles. The only thing that saves me is that we live in Canada (& the Hogs.net)...but that isn't very comforting either for a Skins fan, as hockey is the sport of choice. The Hogs.net is the only place to be for a Skins fan, unless of course your at a FexField on game day:)
See your around the board and congrats on your son's big season!
Cheers,
The Hogfather
