bandwagon folks
have we all lost faith in the great joe gibbs? this is the man who won us our super bowls, with three different quarterbacks. my best guess of why he took jason campbell is because of something mort said: "He reminds joe gibbs a lot of DOUG WILLIAMS...he sees a lot of doug in jason, and i think Joe wants that for his team." i was watching comcast sportsnet after the first round and i was listening to coach gibbs talk about jason campbell and he seemed enamored with him, and frankly i agree with whoever said the comment about the chargers and lighting a fire under drew brees' ass. same kind of deal here. if he falters, which i hope to god he won't, but if he does, we have jason campbell to fall back on--think of him as a slightly slower and taller mike vick--you would be surprised at some of the things this guy can do. and does it really hurt to have a guy who can move around back there instead of having a statue in the backfield with fagnell or ramsey. gibbs has something up his sleeve, you know he always does. let's not lose faith in him so quickly, after all he is the savior of washington

I'm trying not to bash on the faithful who are severely disappointed. It's hard when they lash out at my man Gibbs though. My suggestion, if your of the mind of talking about not being a skins fan any longer, take the rest of the offseason off and come back week 1. If the Skins fail miserably, then your points will be more validated and you can scream I told you so all you want before you quit on the skins. In the meantime, just go out and enjoy the weather, take a camping trip and forget about football for a few more months....
Death to the EGO! RIP 21

Um, not to nitpick, but mentioning Campbell in the same sentence as Vick is a little ridiculous. Here's a quote from a scouting report:
Is a better than average athlete and good scrambler but not a big threat to run. Lacks explosive top-end speed and elusiveness.
A guy who is a "good scrambler" and runs a 4.69 - 40 is nothing close to a Mike Vick. I agree however that Gibbs knows way more about this guy than any of us do. Trust in Gibbs!
Build through the draft!
