Was Campbell worth two 1st, 3rd, and a 4th?
WE GAVE UP 2 FIRST ROUND PICKS, a 3RD and a 4th ROUND PICK FOR A DUMB QB THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE IN THE 2ND!
WE COULD HAVE TRADED UP FROM THE 3RD TO THE 2ND TO GET HIM.
WHAT IS GOING ON?

Take a deep breath... there you go.
Sure, we could have addressed more pressing needs at #25, but maybe Gibbs just doesnt feel Ramsey is right for the job. Maybe this will just push Patrick harder to his full potential. And if not, maybe if something bad happens to Ramsey, Campbell can step in and dominate unlike Brunell could.
Sure, I would have liked Heath Miller, but maybe this will overall make our team better.
Plus, we still have more picks. Maybe Gibbs will find another Coooley? Who knows? Lets just let the season play this thing out.

Note key word: MAYBE
2 first round picks, a 3rd, and a 4th should not involve the word MAYBE
PERIOD

I am counting the 1st round (#25) we used on him, which could have been used on another need.
Essentially, Jason Campbell (player) cost the Washington Redskins a 1st (2005), 1st (2006), and a 3rd (2005) and a 4th (2006) round pick.
But, the cost of acquring an additional 1st round pick only cost 3 picks.
Once a player is picked, well, they cost that pick...and what ever it took to get that pick.
Sure, you could have a Poll "Was the 25th pick worth 3 picks"...but that is a poll for 2 days ago.
Just like Carlos Rogers cost the Redskins a 1st (#9) pick.
A pick is a pick.
Sean Taylor cost 1 pick
Taylor Jacobs cost 1 pick
Rod Gardner cost 1 pick
PATRICK RAMSEY cost 1 pick
Jason Campbell cost 4 picks

oafusp, I disagree with your method of counting.
You're doubling counting. We never wouldv'e had
the 2005 1st if we didn't give up the 2006 1st, 2005 3rd &
2006 4th.
By your method,
ey cost us the 2005 2nd and
the 2004 3rd. This is obviously wrong.
ey only
cost us the 2005 2nd.

Then how did we pick

please tell me who the Vikings picked the year after they acquired Herhall Walker?
Did Walker cost the Vikings a 1st round pick while the Cowboys went on to build their dynasty?
Please tell me how much Ricky Williams cost the Saints.
Are you saying that a player picked 25th overall does not count as a draft pick????
Had the Broncos used that pick the player would have cost just that pick....but in our case the player cost that pick...and the package used to acquire the pick.
burp.
Lets say I exchange two $10 bills for a $20 bill. I go buy a $20 item with it. Did I just spend $40? Of course not.
We didn't have a second 1st round pick to start with. It did not exist. We took our 2006 1st rounder, a 3rd rounder, and a 4th rounder and turned those three picks into ONE pick that we used for Rogers.
He didn't cost two 1st round picks, because it's not like we could have spend them on two different players, right?

"Even a stopped clock is right twice a day."
He only counts as one first round pick, think of him as costing us a 2006 1st a 2005 3rd and a 2006 4th. He did not cost us a 2005 1 because we did not have the 25th before the trade. Just because hes not a player you would have chosen does not make the pick count twice ie count it again because we should have pick charlie fry or whoever. Thats who was just picked not a charlie fry fan.
Anyway its a crazy deal but I'm waiting for the PRam trade to pass judgement on it, but I think it looks solid now and if we get Darren Howard or a #1 for next year I like it.

Lets say I had $25 and you wanted it. So you gave me 2 tens, 3 ones, and 2 ones.
Yeah, you got your $25 but you gave up 7 bills to get it.
The point: This was a question on the WONDERLIC test and Jason Campbell flunked it.

burp.
To bad opposing lineman don't quiz on QB with WONDERLIC questions instead of trying to sack them. Four offenses in four seasons. Playing at Auburn is the perfect place for future redskins. Just ask any of our guys on D. Four O cordinatores in four years at the QB position and undefeated his senior season, RBs or not hes not a box or rocks

If you can't answer more than one or two Wonderlic questions chances are you need instructions for putting your shoes on.

Sorry about the outburst but I dont think you need to say costed. I think "Cooley cost us the..." would work just fine.
Wow, that just brightend my day, thank you, I needed that.

Just thei 26th pick and a fourth rounder smart trade. Our FO must smoke opium in their war room or something.

Correct. He cost us 3 total picks (a 2006 1st a 2005 3rd and a 2006 4th). These were the three picks we traded to get the number 25. So he either cost us:
a/ the 25th pick this year, or
b/ the 2006 1st a 2005 3rd and a 2006 4th (the picks we traded to get the 25th).
You can look at it either way.
