After the first day

I cannot believe the people attacking Gibbs about this draft, I thought we did a good job today an here's why. Going into the draft we had three needs: CB, WR and DL. However oue receiving corps may not have a superstar we have two solid receivers in Moss and Patten, plus we have an improved Jacobs and a possesion guy in McCants. We also have Thras who will do anyithing because is a true Redskin. Yeah if we cut Gardner we could get rid of a big hole at receiver but the unit is solid. Mike Williams had sat out for a year, the Titans passed on him and Chow was supposed to be high on him. I think Rogers is one great pick up, he's big and physical and can make plays with Taylor behind him. Rogers will fit well in the Defense. Now my one regret was not drafting a DE, but I like the Campbell pick up. He's better than Brunell and Hasselbeck by miles, and if ramsey leaves for more $$$$, Campbell will the man and do a good job

i agree with u about the campbell and rodger topic but i disagree wit u about the DE situtation i feel our current DEs are gettin comfortable wit Greg willaims Defense which is rele complicated and draftin a DE it will take him time to adjust to the defense while we will see more results with our current DEs

True, that's why I am not terribly upset about the DE situation. Overall I think this defense is elite now, and a monster DE would be icing on the cake

Everything is sweet and nice eh?

Wait until you see the Cowpukes rush this season with the great DE additions that they made today.

Don't you people get it? Your trade must be at least as good as your opponents'. Our was not anywhere as good as theirs. Poor Ramsey stabbed in the back by the front office and by the front by the Pukes pass rush...
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Two rookie pukes against Samuels/Jansen/Thomas and Rabach don't make me laugh! Ramsey wasn't stabbed in the back, but you people do not realize that if it wasn't for Gibbs we would have drafted the big splashy pick and looked like idiots

i agree with OC we don't really need a WR... and I think we are solid at DE...

Warner will surprise this year.... He has potential to get 10-12 sacks... (with enough playing time of course)

I agree with the rogers pick... because we could not go into the season with Walt Harris going all game long...

Campbell... I really don't know...
See right now I'm on lettuce... Pretty soon I'll be on fries... After that.. The grill... And after that... Comes Assistant. Manager.... and That's When the Big Bucks roll in!

This year's draft is very interesting. Yes we passed up a big time WR in Mike Williams, but CB was more of a NEED. We spent the Free Agency acquiring WR's. Carlos Rogers is a great addition to an already great defense. He will flourish in Gregg Williams' system to say the least.

The Jason Campbell pick really interests me now. At first I didn't understand since Coach Gibbs made it clear about PR being the guy. But then I stopped and thought for a bit. Some interesting things went through my mind.

Jason Campbell reminds me of a guy by the name of Doug Williams. They have the same style of play and they have the same number (17). I wonder if Coach Gibbs sees another Williams in Campbell.

Other than that, I like it because I'd rather have him backup more than Brunell (in fact I'd put in a OL before Brunell) and before Hasselbeck.

So this draft has ups and downs, but remember folks, this is Coach Gibbs, and he KNOWS what he is doing.

Some guys I think we should look at for the future picks:

Ernest Shazor - S Michigan (Could play LB too b/c of size)
Taylor Stubblefield - WR Purdue
Simon Frazier - DE Ohio State

GO SKINS!!!

Tim Hasselbeck=5th Round Selection. Or This is a move to force Mark Brunell to retire. Either way Ramsey is still the man!
