Post by MEZZSKIN »

Guys cheer up!...we addresed a major need at corner and we added qB with major upside--Strong arm , mobility Winning metality etc...Guys You sound like eagle fans of fews years ago...BOTTOM LINE WE GOT BOTH OF OUR GUYS!!..Its a good day period....I give Gibbs so much credit for this pick...ITS BOLD ITS DARING AND its what he wanted to do..he got his player...HE COULD HAVE EASILY PICKED Roddy white and we would have been happy......Patrick will get his chance no doubt..but if he fails we have a #1 hand pickd by gibbs WAITING IN THE WINGS...Hey dont you think Chargers have a great 'PROBLEM' on there side ..With 2 qbs...Patrick needs to perform...he hasnt scared or impressed anyopne on the professional level to date....We could have had disater on our hands next year if Patrick faltered this year...that problem has been addresed --(in case).....Guys this pick could be the most important pick of the last ten years ....Give coach gibbs the benefit of the doubt here.

My only bit of disappointment was not getting the monster DE that I thought we needed. So while missing out on Matt Roth sucks, I have no other problems with the draft today. BTW you have to feel good for Tuberville and the Auburn program. Unlike Miami these are not headcases but solid guys. Tuberville did a heck of a job last year, and five 1st rounders for Auburn is good

JASON CAMPBELL WAS HANDPICKED BY GIBBS JUST LIKE MARK BRUNELL WAS.

THIS IS WORSE THAN THE RYAN LEAF PICK.

AT LEAST THE CHARGERS WE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE FOR YEARS...WE WERE AT THE BRINK AND WE JUST TOOK ANOTHER 3-5 YEAR STEP BACKWARD.

HORRIBLE DAY, HARRIBLE DAY

GREAT DAY TO BE A REDSKIN FAN????????

Instead, we have sent the wrong message to Patrick and the Chemistry of the team. Why would Ramsey believe -anything- the front office says from now on?

If Campbell turns out to be a superstar, this will be a great day to be a Redskins Fan...the bottom line is we can't say it was a horrible draft when we haven't seen the players play.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

What the hell guys? Why? This just makes me scratch my head.

And if I'm Patrick Ramsey, I'd have called Gibbs a liar. If it were Rodgers, yeah...ok, it makes sense...but Campbell, who could have been had later?

Ugh.

Yes, and this will take quite a while for a rookie QB backup if he even lasts as a Redskin long enough before he is traded to NFL Europe. The price for this guy was at best too high and at worst not needed at all.

We needed help for THIS season. We needed help NOW. We have no time for long term experiments. There were people in this draft capable to make an impact NOW.

We sent the message to Brunell and Hasselbeck : YOURE FIRED! We did not need a WR and TE is a luxury.

Yes, this is all a big gamble. Look what happend in SD they lit a fire under Brees' arse and he played to his ablity. I hope this will be the same for Patrick. As for the 9th, I was hoping for M. Williams, but I like this too. The D will be top 5 if not top overall with LaVar comming back. CB is a postion where rookies can play well.

LUXURY?

a luxury is Mike Williams falling to you at the 9th pick after your 2 starting WR's left your 30th ranked offense.

Williams hadn't played for a year, we have good receivers they just don't get headlines by acting like Randy Moss and Terrell Owens. A Tight End is a luxury and Heath Miller has an injury history.

We have 4 QB's under contract now, why? Our offense stinks, we should have taken a WR and DE. What are you thinking right now if you're Ramsey? Gibbs must really not like Ramsey, whitin a month of Gibbs coming back he signs Brunell, that does'nt work out now he's got to draft a QB. If I'm Ramsey I'm thinking Gibbs is a liar and my days are numbered. They will not resign Ramsey after the season now, and the sad part is he never got a fair shot at QB. Today is a sad day in Redskin history, we just keep going backwards.

I'm thinking that I go in and concentrate on my game and not worry about jason campbell. Seriously this was not directed against Ramsey. Gibbs saw how much Brunnell and Hasselbeck sucked last year and realized that Campbell is a great back up who if need be can win games in place of Ramsey. If I'm Tim hasselbeck I'm thinking "Oh crap, looks like I'm out of a job, back to NFL Europe?"

what is this fascination you guys have with what's in Ramsey's head? Ramsey has gotten his confidence. He's passed that fragile phase. He earned his starting job last season. You think that because he did that, Gibbs is just going to let him start as long as he feels like it regardless of how he plays? That's just stupid. Ramsey has to play a lot better this season. That's all he needs to believe. You have to have not only capable backups, you have to have guys that push the starter. That's what Joe did by grabbing Campbell. This move will either make or break Ramsey. I personally think Ramsey is going to be a superstar. If I'm right, this move will only help him become one...
