Do you think that we drafted Campbell so we can cut Brunell, since we would get alot more cap space from him than most of the other players?

No chance on losing Brunell, couldn't afford it...

I'd like to see Mark teaching though... he's a lot closer to the style of player that Campbell is, maybe he can pass on some knowledge

Agreed, can't cut Brunnel this year, his bonus would kill our cap.

I posted this in a thread in the smack forum -- it's what I'm wondering if Gibbs is thinking...

We're in good position to make a run at the playoffs this year with our current roster. We have a solid QB in Ramsey and a veteran QB backing him up (don't gag, please). Campbell is our 3rd stringer, learning from Gibbs, Brunnell, etc.. during 2005. On June 2, 2006, Brunnel is cut (if he doesn't retire first) and now we have a backup QB who has one year under his belt. If we wait until next year to replace Brunnel, the guy is a rookie.
