A Sad Day for Me
In all my years of being a Redskins fan (since 1976), I can't remember seeing a team, coaches and owner less dedicated to winning than this group. Oh how I miss Mr. Cooke. With the 25th selection of Jason Campbell the Skins have just thrown another season out the door. Dam Snyder and Gibbs basically gave 3 picks for this guy to be the 4th string QB. I don't know what their plans are but I'm on the verge of giving up on the team that I've followed for 29 years of my life because they've certainly given up on their fans and the franchise. Not only do the Skins need help on the field but they need a new owner. He runs this team like he's playing fantasy football and that just doesn't cut it. I don't know what to expect from this team anymore and I certainly don't see them making any strides to get better. I know I'll probably take a beating from some of you but oh well. It can't be worse than the crap that the Skins are putting me through. No more traveling to DC to watch this team, I'll just keep my money in my pockets. Thanks for ruining my upcoming season Joe and Dan.

this is the dumbest pick in redskins history. why did we need a QB? what's wrong with ramsey (that isn't also wrong with any 3 year veteran QB? it takes them a few years to be their best).
the ultimate nightmare now is, are we going to trade ramsey? if so, you know what that means! yes, that's right- it means MARK BRUNELL WILL BE STARTING QB for the redskins in 2005 while campbell learns. i will refuse to watch a single game if that happens.
screw this.

Ramsey is the future, he just has to prove it.

I share your frustration but not your comments. BTP brought a whole thread praising Snyder recently. So, you can understand his views.pxalpha97 wrote:In all my years of being a Redskins fan (since 1976), ...
Results are results and they are bad, very bad. Snyder has brought nothing else but pain and frustration to the Redskins and his fans over his entire ownership. It is sad to see a team do waste a draft. But that team happens to be the Skins, it is a tragedy for us fans.
We should have known when the trade with Denver took place that NOTHING good would come out of this.
Welcome to the board.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Since when has Campbell showed you ANYTHING to convince anybody that he can play any better than Hasselbeck, let alone Ramsey???!!! Just what we needed: another QB controversy. What a stupid move!Redskins4Life wrote:I want to get a 2nd rounder this year for RamseY!!! (Its not gonna happen, but it would make the drafting of Campbell so much more exciting for me)... Plus, Campbells a 24 year old rookie, we dont have time for him to sit and learn on the bench for 2 seasons

Joe Gibbs had SERIOUS reservations about Ramsey, that's why he brought Mark Brunell aboard... then he saw Jason Campbell work out, interviewed him, watched his game tape and fell in love with this excellent young quarterback...
What's wrong with you guys?
"Joe Gibbs is a football God! He knows what he's doing, unless he makes a decision that I don't like!"
Jason Campbell is the future of the franchise now.

I understand your frustraton, but honestly, if that how you really feel, then mebbe it is time you moved on. But if you do, don't come back when we make the playoffs this year and act like you knew it all along.
Sorry, but I'm tired of fans that constantly talk negatively about the team Ilove, especially now that Gibbs has returned and is making such an obvious turn in the right direction.
To all you guys that have all this negativity, why don't you just ignore football until we start winning again. That way, you can save yourselves a lot of misery, and save me a lot of typing trying to make you see the truth....
I don't know why I keep trying to make you see, it just doesn't do any good...
It's almost like you wish we would suck next year. Sorry aint gonna happen. Mebbe you'd be better off as cowboys fans. They won't be any good for a long long time...

6-10 last year. I know he was great once, but so was Joe Paterno. Hopefully, Gibbs can return the 'skins to the top, but that doesn't always happen.
the guy came back to win,not lose.
I've yet to meet a coach who comes back to lose.
i would rather have the future of the skins in joe gibbs hands ,other than steve spurrier or marty s would'nt you?
I like Gibbs better than I like Spurrier or Schotty, but mostly, I like wins. I wouldn't care if my little sister coached the 'skins if she could win a few games.

Joe Gibbs was a Football God he has fallen out of the sport and lost all sence i dont care what he has accomplish no college football prospect is worth 3 picks this makes no snece there is no way to justify it we overpayed for no imediate help Gibbs has done nothing but lie to Fans since he came back (see being impressed with PRAM, Ramsey having a chance to compete, Ramsey the undoubted started for 2005, and lastly Ramsey the future of the redskins) i couldnt be more upset the orginization now and especiallly Gibbs who i thought was on our sidea dn could bring sanity to this mess of a franchise. Denver should be extatic they will have a top 10 pick next year and we will be yet agian losers

What success? Two winning seasons and 1 playoff victory in the last 10 years is not success. I miss the 80's.

You don't get it; I want to be a 'skins fan - I just don't want to be embarrassed about it. Only 7 teams haven't made the playoffs at least once in the past 4 years, and the Redskins are one of those teams. I'm not less of a fan just because I won't lie to myself about how they've done recently.

Im not saying campbell wont be good im saying that gibbs hasnt handeld his return well at all regardless of wehter or not campbell wins gibbs has lied to fans on his views on ramsey and in response to OC im not gonna drop beign a skins bit how many boneheaded off seasons in a row has it been and whats been our best season 8-8 all im saying im gettin sick of QB contovercies and disagreeing with the rest of the leauge. Our WR suck moss and patten are short and easily overpowered i cant see Dmac breaking the line up Jacobs and thrash have been sub par in there limited showing. All in all i love the redskins probably more then life but i reserve the right to be disgrunteled and question my coach ( yes even if its Joe Gibbs) cambpell regardless of what he will do in this league cant be worth 3 picks dont tell me hes winning superbowls becuase he wont throwing to moss and patten well i guess we could draft a WR next yr in the first round oh wait....nevermind
