I thought we had a top 3 defence and a bottom 3 offence

Makes no sense to this aussie why we would draft a CB and not a WR

wingman and i discussed ad nauseum about how the whole Auburn rumor could actually be wrong in that we were there to see Campbell.

I wouldn't complain too loudly. There are still some very good receivers on the board as well as heath miller for our 25 pick, and our defense just got better without a doubt. Rogers is a good size at 6'1" and fits in very, very well with Williams defense.

Mike Williams would have been nice too.

yeah, passing on Williams really makes you think that Rogers IS who we were talking to at Auburn eh? Fat Lenny has been proven to be an idiot yet again...

Congrats on getting Rogers.

I was PO'd when I saw Jones and Rolle go and you bastiches lucked into the best CB in the draft even though he probably wasn't the best on your board.

This is the one player I didn't want to see go to you guys.
This space reserved for BTP......If he ever wins it.

Maybe Joe thought that the loss of Smoot was more important, especially since the addition of Patten.

I like the pick, we needed a corner and Williams has fallen for some reason. Detroit took Williams (look at their history with WR). we'll be happy with Rodgers

With the 25th pick the Washington Redskins sekect Roddy White WR Alabama-Birmingham would be nice to hear later

If I were the Lions, I would plan on another season without Rogers due to injury--that guy just can't stay healthy.

Think a Detroit QB will have any excuse now? :)

I think this was a mistake. If I hAD to spin it I would say that good WR's seem to be easier to get than good CB's. I don't know- I'm disapointed.

I really wanted Williams, but oh well. Look at the positives: almost everyone here likes the guys on our WR core and we have a lot of depth there. Meanwhile, look at how much discussion we've had over our CBs. Can Harris cut it? Can Wilds cut it? No more worries there, no more questionable backups, no more running out of players for our nickel package.

Welcome to the team, Carlos!

Redskins4Life wrote:I cant believe Joe Gibbs and Vinny Cerrato would make a move like this. We need a GM immediately. Words cannot express how shocked and angry I am... We passed on a 6'5" offensive beast for a damn cornerback. Way to improve the leagues 30th ranked offense. Stupid move by Gibbs and co.

we've already done everything we needed to do to improve the offense. We added two fast receivers with good hands and we added Rabach and got Jansen back. Our offense will explode next season...

Keep those Smoot contract numbers handy and see how they compare to Rogers.
