Lenny, surely you don't think we'll buy it when you post anonymously.

If we still have the 25th pick and Matt jones is still available, we have to take him or trading for that pick was useless. If there is a way to get Matt Jones and Heath Miller in the first round, I say do it and do it quick.
Those two make our offense amazing.

I think we should get Antrel, or Pacman Jones for our 9th pick. For our 25th i don't care as long as its not a QB, we cant have 4 qbs on our depth chart, that would be completly useless

Just think of the mismatches Matt jones presents. 2rd and goal and portis can't get in the endzone again. Just throw a jump ball to Matt jones. He also has the speed to be a deep threat where Ramsey can just throw it up and he can go get it, kind of like a Randy Moss. And if we can get Heath Miller too. oh my god Jones, Miller, Cooley running around the field catching balls. And those guys can get moss(if he decides to show up) and patton wide open. That kind of passing threat gives Portis a chance to run like he should.

Now, people are grossly overrating the QUITTER.

It could be, but I think it will be Heath Miller because right after we made that trade the Jets immediatly traded for a Te.

Quitter???? all I know is if he's used right, he helps the offense in every aspect. I know the game. And I really don't care when you started to like him.
We have a chance to get him and Miller and I think we should do it. Do you people remember how bad our offense was last year. F a CB, we need TD's. and those boys are playmakers with size hands and speed.

We should trade to the top five and pick either edwards or williams. Definetly need a game changer.

What really shocks me is that pretty much no one on this board has ever seen Matt Jones play and yet they feel like drafting him is a necessity. We're talking about a potential 5th round pick here who boosted his stock because he ran a fast time at the combine. GET OFF MATT JONES' NUTTS!

I live in Arkansas and have seen Matt Jones play many times. If Matt Jones was black he would be the #1 Pick in the draft but looks like he's a victem of the white man can't jump theory

To those who don't believe in Matt Jones

Post by eastside »

Some of you that responded talked about how most people on this board don't no Matt Jones and have never seen him play and this and that. I live in Arkansas and have seen Jones play many many times. I can't say we will for sure draft him but to not draft him would be a bad mistake If he was black he would be the #1 pick no questions asked

Jones's 40 time was faster than both Braylon Edwards (4.45) and USC's Mike Williams (4.56).
His 20-yard clocking of 2.54 seconds was better than all five of the projected first-round WRs
But he played QB not running back or WR or TE and he won't be drafted to play QB there for he could be 6-6, 241-pound Chinaman, African American, White American, whatever he won't go number 1 because he is change positions after his collegate career is over. Going in anywhere in the 1st round will be a accomplishment.

 come Sat when it's time to make the 25th selection we WON"T be on the clock My 2 cents

What a joke.

He was originally a day two prospect.
Now you have him drafted #1 overall, but because he is white he is getting the shaft by the man?

You don't go from a 5th rounder to 1st overall because of combine workouts. I don't care what color you are.

I think the cowpokes could use your scouting skills.

When your that athletic, it's not that hard to be converted into a wide receiver. His physcial attributes can not be matched by any defender in the nfl. Who's going to cover him on a jump ball in the endzone. Besides look what san diego has done with Gates and he doesn't come close to having the ability Jones does. And Gates didn't play college football.

The No 1 pick in the NFl Draft will never be a player project to play a position that he didn't play in Collage.
:!: Maybe AFL but NFL
