Draft Party!?!?!?!?!
I've never gone to one of the Skins draft parties in the past. I was wondering if METRO still shuttles out busses to and from the last stop on the orange line? Like they do during the regular season.
Anybody who has gone in the past know anything about this?
The weather should not change anything right? Because it's supposed to rain on Saturday.

Thanks for your help.
When I go to games, I go on the orange line and get off at Landover. At Landover there were shuttle busses provided by metro ($5 round trip) from the metro to the stadium. I am bringing along a lot of friends so it would be more convenient to come by metro.
I appreciate your help but does anyone know if metro will still be providing the shuttle service from the Landover station for the draft party?

Draft Day Info plz
I know that there is another thread going on, but i need information fast. I hope you don't merge this mods
Im a teen and the only way i can get there is if mai dad drives me, so he wants to know what exactly goes on.
I heard there are locker room tours. But can you gimmi information like how many people go, do you stand in lines, and everything that might be helpful. This will be the first time i would go to the draft party.
I would appreciate your help.

Sorry, washington53, but you shouldn't make a new thread just because you didn't see what you wanted to in another thread.
I merged it into the original draft thread. I am very sure that you will find info on the Draft Party at Redskins.com (and in this thread, of course).

I've been to past draft parties. They're a blast! Last year, they let us walk on the field. This year, you can have your picture taken with the Super Bowl Trophies (bring your camera!) and you can participate in a locker-room tour. My parents live around the corner from there, so I'm heading there for breakfast, then driving to the stadium. First 1,000 fans get a free gift, so get there early!

Are you sure? Where'd you get the info?

I'm VERY doubtful they will have shuttle buses. They just opened two metro stops near the stadium (Morgan Ave is one) and it's not game day where 90,000 people show up. The only reason they did that in the past is b/c A) those stops weren't open and B) game day draws a ton of people. Saturday will draw a lot but not that many. Did you check Redskins.com?
The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

Thanks for your help. Do you know how much of a walk it is from the Morgan Ave. to the stadium? 5 minutes, 10 minutes?

Out of what I've read from redskins.com, it appears to be that it is about a 1 mile walk from the Morgan Metro Station. I know that is how I'm going to FedEx Field on Saturday. I totally look forward to attending the Draft Day Party.

Yeah, I think I will be doing the same thing. It's definitely worth the 1 mile walk.

Hey, maybe that's a good idea. I'm not worried about the money..just that it would be easier to go by metro than driving all the way to landover. (plus the traffic.......)
Thanks for the thought!

Hatsoff, traffic is NOTHING like on Gameday. Unless you're coming up through the mixing bowl, you really shouldn't catch bad traffic. It's a party. People will come and go throughout the day at their leisure. There won't be mass a mass exodus in or out of the stadium.
IMO, make the drive. Leave when you want, and enjoy it with your boys at the field. Have fun!! I have a felling that, unless you plan on getting PLASTERED at the draft party (:hmm:), you'll be kickin' yourself for having taken the subway.
But if you must drink, please don't drive. Thanks.

I'm going to have to have a talk with the boys and figure out what I'm going to do. Good to know that there's isn't as much traffic as on game day. It usually took me like an hour-1:30 to get out of there!!!!
