How about this trade?
The Patriots are in need of a young linebacker and Derrick Johnson being developed by those coaches is scary. Maybe we could trade back to their pick and get a number two for our number 9. Matt Jones would be available back there or maybe Justin Miller from Clemson or possibly an impact DE. And we would be able to make a pick in the strong second round. Just a thought.
Still Loyal. Go Skins!
NO WAY. The patriots second round pick is no where near valuable enough for them to move from pick 32 to pick 9. No way, no how. Plus this league needs to stop helping the Pats out, such as giving them Corey Dillon for a second round pick. That was probably the STUPIDEST trade I've ever seen. The Patriots have all the help they need.

In hindsight that was a bad trade but at the time everyone thought of Dillon as a player who was getting old, was injured much of the year before, cared only about money, and had a bad attitude. So in hindshight it was a bad trade but at the time it was at best 50/50.
I don't see why it is necessary to take the biggest name available when we could trade down and get two good players and pay less. Justin Miller is as much a sure thing as PacMan is and Roddy White and Chris Henry will be available in the 2nd. Face it guys the patriots might not need help but we do, and this would help both of us.

All of the players in this draft to worry about and you mention Matt Jones. The guy's huge (6-6), gifted and athletic, but I would put a handful of receivers alone ahead of him on the "scared of getting beat buy" meter.
There are two reasons why we shouldn't trade down, one resides in Miami and the other in West Virginia... Antrelle "He must be butter, cuz he's on a" Rolle and Adam "Pacman" Jones. Remember what happened the last two times we have taken corners... They've both become monsters--played out their contracts and jumped ship. We could get a good four or five years of freakism out of either of these two opposite Mr. Springs before the flee.
If the Skins trade down someone should lose their job, because at this rate Walt Harris is your starting CB. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but our schedule is grusome as far as teams with deep recieving corps. They'd better get a CB with the top pick, no questions about it.
