What are we missing?
Fred Smoot loves the Loot. So we don’t have that guy anymore. Our corners now are Shawn Springs-whose awesome, Walt Harris-he's okay. So we're missing 1 good Corner
We got a speedy receiver group with Moss, Patten, Thrash...We're pretty much set with that...except we need a big receiver....so…maybe 1 Wide Receiver
Antonio who??? He was a product of the GW system. He can be replaced easily. With LaVar coming back, it shouldn't be a problem. But if it's necessary we should pick up another no-name linebacker to plug into the GW system.
Our top priority is CB, then WR, & maybe a no name LB and we're set.
That missing Corner really worries people. It's like a missing thumb...the Draft is right around the corner...We'll pick up a nice CB and it will be fine.
I really don't know why everyone’s freaking out. Draft day is coming...We get Rolle and we're set...Think about it...
Gibbs has a chip on his shoulder. Damage is going to be done.

We got that in Brian Allen.
And I actually think our WR are set, but if Vincent Jackson is there in the 3rd, we could grab him. And actually I was reading about this guy, ah i forgot his name, I think its like Tony Brakens or someting, and he's a 6'4 WR comming out of Community College. Maybe we could snag him in like the 5th?
But I just want to add depth in the draft at CB, DE, LB, TE, and O Line.
But I just cant wait until draft day because no one really has any idea of who we will get at #9... Rolle, Jones, Merriman, Williamson, Miller, Carlos Rodgers...
I mean last year you knew it would either be Sean or Kellen, but I think this will be a fun draft to watch.

I think that it would be most beneficial for the team to draft Heath Miller. I'm not the biggest UVA fan in the world, but I can admit he's an excellent pass catcher. With speedy receivers like Moss, Patten, Thrash, and Jacobs the team's real need is a possession receiver - someone who can do the dirty work within 10-15 yards. Hopefully McCants can do some damage this year in the red zone as he did in Spurrier's last season.
Trading down would give us an added pick, one in which we could look for a defensive end. The need for a cornerback is not a dire one, because if you noticed Walt Harris and Garnell Wilds both did excellent jobs filling in last year. If I'm not mistaken, Wilds even did a decent job covering Randy Moss in the season finale.
ey is a H-back and a big, versatile, skilled tight end is something we desperately need. Not to mention the Skins just hired Bill Musgrave to the coaching staff, and he did organize the offense run by Matt Schaub and Heath Miller that tormented the ACC for a couple of years.
This was my first post, and I hope to be contributing more in the future. GO SKINS!

From what I read today, it looks like we will draft Pac Man at 9 or Rogers, which to me means we remain about the same team we were last year. Improvement at OT and OC--doubtless cancelled out by improvements by opponents. There's no reason to think we'll out draft anybody else in the third or later rounds or AT THIS POINT DO ANYTHING EXCITING WITH FA's. Frankly, I think management is going to continue to sit on its hands and get clobbered this off season. It shows every sign of being asleep at the wheel. I'd like to think its got something up its sleeve and we'll end up with a decent TE who can catch passes or a Matt Jones or a decent DE or great WR by trading up- but darned if it doesn't look like there's more sleeping than scheming going on. Say it ain't so, Joe.

This has been a frustrating offseason, but oddly enough the best one so far in years. Yes, Smoot and Pierce will be missed. Otherwise we are solidifying the TEAM. We don't need superstars, we need super hard workers. That's the blueprint from NE Pats and the old skins' teams. Get rid of the prima donnas. Look at the participation of voluntary workouts. We will be a .500 team or better this year - so long as injuries don't take us out fo contention all together.

what we need
I think in all honesty we need a TE. Cooley is an H-back and with everyone talking about a big target,
a tight end that can run would be a huge plus (Heath Miller). Also we need a Guard (Dockery sucks) and a cornerback. In all honesty
I think that MLB wont be that big of a problem and the line was fine last year without a stud DE.
Oh yea and I still dont know why the team doesnt just sign a corner. Andre Dyson is still available I believe and hes just as good as smoot was.

Don't forget the June 1st cuts to pick up some pieces CB and WR are musts in the the early rounds for us. CB first. As far a LB, with washington healthy we need depth for Lavar and Barrow who have been nagged by Injuries, thats why Pierce will hurt. What about Chris Clemons thoght can step in to a Pierce type role if needed. O yeah Lamar Marshall as well.

C'mon now, you know you're not allowed to like a player that's in Gibb's doghouse.

Yeah, and he was on the team last year too, so how does that help us?
Our biggest areas of concern prior to the off season was:
- No big play threat at WR
- Not being able to consittantly run (expecially in short yardage)
- We couldn't score points
- No one one the Defensive line is a pure pass rusher.
_ Lack of depth at CB! Only had two starting quality CBs and Jimoh was our 5th CB (yikes!)
How wehave addressed these areas in the off season:
- Moss and Patten might be a help for the deap threat part but we lost Coles and Gardner so we lost someone to catch all of the other balls that actually sustain drives. We are worse off at WR now and NEED MORE HELP BAD!
- Jansen and Ratbach MAY help that! We still need a short yardage back!
- We haven't helped the team much! yeah we have a deap threat at WR but we are worse overall at WR now and we still don't have a short yardage runner!
- No Help!
No help and now we only have one starting quality CB and he is injury prone. Jimoh is no 4th on our depth charts (YIKES!!!!!)
- and now we are thin at LB too. Arrington has yet to have an injurt free season and finally missed a lot of time. Pierce was the on field brains of our defense and WILL BE MISSED!
To sum up: We worse now at WR, a problem last year: We aore a little better for running the ball; We ahven't done much too help us score points; We still don't have a pass rushing DE, We now have a depth problem at LB and CB.
I hate to say it but even though we have more of a need on offense we have to get either a CB or Pass rushing DE and depth at LB. Draft best available from the following CB, WR, DE, TE, Pass Rushing DE(or LB - ie, Merriman).
I just had PRK eye surgury so I'm not sure what I really typed here!

We may not have traded him just yet but he isn't at the workouts for obvious reasons. If he does come back this year I wouldn't count on him to play his heart out. He may prove me wrong but can you imagine a Gardener with even less focus and effort?
50/50? LOL, itll be worse!
