What we really need in the draft
Ideally this is how Id like to see the draft go. The skins would first trade down to the middle 1st round hopefully picking up a second round choice in the process. They would then finally trade Gardner for a third round pick. They would then use the 1st round pick on Heath Miller and then package there two third round picks to a team to draft Elton Brown of Virginia. They could then use the second round pick on a trade to bring in a known talent such as Darren Howard or on the best prospect available for one of their needs. Although I know this is wishful thinking, imagine the possibilities of a line that had Chris Samuels, Elton Brown, Casey Rabech, Randy Thomas and Jon Jansen. I mean truthfully most of the offenses problems last year (outside the dropsies) was bad line protection. And the big target everyone keeps wishing for could come from Miller. And as far as the defense goes. Walt Harris will do ok filling in for Smoot. Last season nobody knew who Pierce was, so I believe that Lamar Marshal could do an at least similar job and if we did have a pick to send to New Orleans we would be set. I mean yes we could use a big time receiver and it can be argued we need a cornerback. But I believe if somehow someway my plan could be a reality we’d be set.

If the draft played out like that I wouldnt mind...heat milller is the same thing as getting a large reciever...because we hav quick wr to stretch the filed now we need a big targer on 3rd and 7...I would like to draft a lineman too becasue i dont trust dockery and Ray Browns too old...well ee its going to boe a exiting draft

I mean think about it if my plan went like I said are starters would look like this
QB Patrick Ramsey
RB Clinton Portis
H-B Chris Cooley
WR Santana Moss
WR David Patten
TE Heath Miller
LT Chris Samuels
LG Elton Brown
C Casey Rabach
RG Randy Thomas
RT Jon Jansen
LE Darren Howard
DT Cornelious Griffin
DT Brandon Noble
RE Phillip Daniels
LLB Marcus Washington
MLB Mike Barrow
RLB Lavar Arrington
CB Shawn Springs
SS Sean Taylor
FS Matt Bowen
CB Walt Harris
In all honesty I think the defense would still be top 5-10 and the offense would be much improved. Plus with all the special team additions we would have a much better team.

We need MWilliams, Pac-man, or ARolle.
We don't need HMiller. We already have RRoyal and CCooley. They're fine, remember....one of them DID have the most TDs scored last year on our team.
I'm fully confident with these two players, and think we need to focus on WR (MWilliams) and CB.

True,
ey does indeed play H-back and not Tight End. But, I don't think TE is a dire need in the draft. We're fine without a dominant TE. We have CCooley and RRoyal. They might not be GREAT but they did just fine last year. The Skins should be more focused on WR and CB.

well, picture cooley as h-back, and a guy that is just as sick as shockey was his first year lining up at TE.
who do you look for in the screens at that point? cooley, miller or portis? kinda hard to defend against.
not saying i want miller, but it wouldn't hurt to get him.

Don't hate the Hoos.

Unless you went to Virginia Tech...it is blasphemous to hate the old alma mater.

Unless you are talking about our Basketball team, then of course you are free to hate, spit on, curse, and otherwise trample on the program.

See, those are good points.

We all know Mike Williams and Braylon Edwards will both be gone before #9. And after them, Miller is the best weapon to help our offense.
And while a lot of people say #9 is too high for a TE, if a TE is what will help your offense, then you take him.
So if on Draft Day, we want offense, that Miller is our choice, However, I think if Antrell Rolle or Pac Man are there at #9 we should take them because CB is a weak spot on our D, and our offense I believe has some weak spots as well, but I think they just need to Gel.
As of now my top 3 are:
1. Rolle
2. Pac Man
3. Miller
But I'll just let the Hall Of Fame coaching staff make the descion, because rember, In Gibbs We Trust.
