Someone else said something interesting in another thread on the same topic that made me rethink my position on his absence at "voluntary" workouts...
Moss is trying to get a lot of things in order in his transition from NJ to DC. Just like us, he also has to deal with relocation, groceries, etc. Add in the fact that his future in DC remains "uncertain" due to what remains of, essentially, a one-year deal, it becomes easier to understand if he's using his time to organize his personal life.
I, too, wish that he would invest the time in voluntary workouts with the team, but I also respect the man's personal life. While we fans would do anything to spend a day with the team at Redskins Park, to the players, it's just another regular business day.
Hopefully, though, he gets his act together soon, so we can see what he'll bring to this team next season.

It just adds weight to my argument that this whole thing was a 'get rid of Coles at any expense' deal. Why didnt we hold onto him and offer him as part of a trade up draft deal? Why did'nt we sort out a proper contract for Moss before doing the deal?
As things stand, it looks like Ramsey will be chucking the ball downfield to a couple of cardboard-cutouts.
Question is, will all this be affecting the draft strategy as there is a chance we will have no #1 Wideouts come opening season day.

I totally agree that this was the best quote...for some reason, though, my wife didn't find it as humorous...odd that.
I believe that it is not unusual for old Miami players to work out with their buddy alums in the offseason. Not that I agree with that but I for one will reserve judgement on Moss until I see him play. Hopefully, he'll be at least as good as Coles with a bum toe.
