Are the Redskins Keeping Tim Hasselback?

Do you think the Redskins will keep Tim Hassellback or will the Reskins possibly draft a QB in the later rounds to replace him?

I think that we should draft a QB in the middle rounds to back up Ramsey. Maybe Charlie Frye from Akron, he had a good senior bowl. In case something happens to Ramsey, I don't feel good having Brunell or Hasselback coming off the bench.

We tendered him a contract which he has not yet signed. He has been looking at other teams. My guess is we will draft a QB in Round 5.

I dont care, we should release him... I dont think he will impact the cap at all... Then we draft a rookie, sign him a rookie contract, and were good to go.

I think he's got good upside and could turn out as good as his brother given time. The problem is that I doubt he'll ever see any starting time here with us having Ramsey.

I'd like to see him go somewhere and get on as the #2 so he can steadily improve and eventually get the starting nod.

Then Joe could draft a raw guy and let him learn on the sidelines.

I don't know what they're going to do, but I'd like him to stay. I can't bear to see Brunell there with a smiling face knowing he's the indefinite back-up. I mean, if Hasselbeck plays better than Brunell in preseaon, Hasselbeck COULD be the back-up right? It IS possible! [-o<

I think he'll eventually take Brunell's spot as # 2 and then Brunell will get pissed and then we can finally get rid of him!

After seeing Gibran in NFLE, I say we trade him to Seattle for Gibby.

JF - you obviously think the fraternal connection might help! But I think Jake's half right. We will keep him but with only a few picks this year I doubt we use one on a future back-up QB.

At present Gibbs seems to indicate we will have Patrick starting and Mark as the back-up. Tim is probably not happy as the #3 but he has a long road to go to get past Mark as the #2 despite what a lot of people think. Gibbs likes experience and leadership in his QBs and IMO he thinks that Mark has a lot more of both than Tim.

I do think Tim might end up somewhere though as he is a decent #2 and could be better with an opportunity - it does not look like he will be our #2 at this time.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

3 active and one practice squad? Its not completely unheard of.
