What Would You Do Without Hogs.net !

Post by tcwest10 »

Hopefully, we'll never have to ask this question. Mark and the staff have done an excellent job of keeping us all informed, and of giving us all a place to meet and talk about our team. Unlike other places, we welcome fans from other teams, and they don't get banned for having differing opinions. Cowboys, Jets...you name it, we've had at least one here.
It is the stated goal of Hogs.net to legitimately become the very best Redskins fan site on the WWW, and to become fully accredited...which would allow the staff access to players before and after games for interviews. C'mon. Who wouldn't want to see Hailskins666 ripping into Mike Sellers for yet another costly fumble ?? ROTFALMAO
We're 1800 strong now, and growing by the day. That's a heck of a start. The movers and shakers are taking notice of this. Mark Solway has been a guest columnist on the Washington Post website, and has done a slew of radio interviews. We're going places, folks.
As you all know, Mark and his group make absolutely no money by doing this. It's a labor of love. Hogs.net surely costs Mark & Co. in more ways than one. We can lessen the workload by following the rules. Post where you're supposed to, watch your language and stay on topic.
We can also help in another way.
At the bottom of every page, you'll see a PayPal icon. Through PayPal, you can contribute any amount to help defray the costs associated with running a site with so many members. The draft is coming up, and with it...a whole lot of work for the Staff. Open your wallets a little, and throw this fine site a bone. Every dime helps.
SkinsJock, you first ! :)

What would I do?

I'd actually do work at work  *GASP* THE HORROR!!!

Without this site I wouldn't have stayed awake during my PC classes in college.

Without this site I wouldn't have made such a great collection of friends that I simply cannot wait to meet at this years camp.

With that being said, I plan to contribute via paypal in the near future.

I think I would be so bored that I would force myself to start loving the Wizards or the Nationals. I couldn't live without constant contact with redskin news. I was really suffering before I signed up with this excellent board. One day, I was searching and found this website. It was like having ice-cream on the while on the sun! If this site went down for some reason...I'd panic.

I'm addicted...any free time I have...I log and and talk with you guys. I know you may be annoyed by my thoughts but I hope you can bear with them.

Hail to the Skins!

If there was not Hogs.net, well then I'd proabably be a Cowboys fan :(

Sure I've tried to go to Extremeskins or even the Clinton Portis website, but Frankly they all suck.

Not only is this site full of Redskin football and opinions, but this site has true Analysts.

Sure someone can post an article by ESPN, but their is a bonus feature here as well. I love checking out the Featured Articles by our own Hog.nets Staff.

And since I'm a California Loner I dont get to go to games or Training Camp or watch the local Redskin reports of TV, but I do get to see and hear all of it because The Hogs.net posts it right up for me to view.

This site really does put the Fan in Redskins Fanatic!

I would probably be restricted to reading old news articles and discussing football with a Broncos fan

Paypal does not like me but I am hoping to donate in person to BH while over there in September

Its the first website I open in the morning. I tend to find I pretty much have the board to meself for a while, what with the timezone differences an all.

Its a firstclass website. I didnt realise it wasn't accredited.

Must be April Fools Day! I can't believe it took so long to check the site... and there it was! Good job TC!

I agree! We are so lucky to have this site to share and vent. Last year with Joe back and finally drafting some talent I was really looking fwd to the season. Like a lot of us I was very disapointed but having this site every Sunday and all week to "get over it" with everyone else (spewing invectives!) - it was like we were all in it together and it made it a little easier!

Thanks to all the people at the site both the moderators and the members - this is the best place for keeping in touch with our team and with each other.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I agree with everyone's statements. Living here in cowpuke land, having to hear puke news all the time gets old. It is refreashing to stay current on all news and share comments with other skin fans. Great Job to BH and all the mods that make this happen.

Just another reminder guys (and gals)! I was able to do this through the PayPal button quite easily and I hope a bunch of you will find a way to "support the cause" as well.

For those of you who cannot afford to do this that's cool - there has never been any pressure to pay or donate here. This is such a great site that those who can donate should!

What Would You Do Without Hogs.net !...probably my girl friend more (walks in the park, going out for dinner, a movie etc) as I wouldn't be in the dog house, for spending so much time on the board. Wait a minute that's how I get out of the dog house...the walks, dinner & movies :hmm:

Anyway this board rocks and I wouldn't want to spend my on-line time and where else.

A big thanks to the hogs.net staff for a creating a great site and donating their time.

I would be forced to spend my workday legitimately working for the entire eight hours rather than scampering happily amidst the boards and eagerly awaiting a football season that is nowhere close to starting.

I'm waiting for TC to notice that this thread has the same # of posts as an April Fools day prank and it also had twice as many views!

I will repeat - there is never any pressure to contribute and we know that many of you cannot, but, IMO this site is worth a small donation by those of us that can!

go on - hit that button, I dare ya! thats not pressure, it's only a subtle hint

The boys that have been around for a while already know that I'm good for this thread at least once every couple of months. I have no idea if it works or not. That part of it really isn't any of my business.
