While it is sad that Ms. Schiavo died today, it is also worth pointing out that 20,000 people died today from extreme poverty. I'd like to see a "Palm Sunday Comprimise" to do something about that, like perhaps living up to the pledge this country made to the U.N. Millenium Project.

not to mention the 9 kids who died in Minnesota, who didn't really even get to live life, got all of 4 posts in their thread... and people are crying because I photoshop heads of people who are 67 years old & who have been basically dead for 2 decades...

The most wildly anticipated death in years happened today. I'm chastened and chagrined that nobody came up with a way to put it on PPV.
What a farce this whole thing was. Essentially, an unfaithful husband finds a loophole. News at 11. And 10. And 8. And 7. Plus cable. Mustn't forget cable.

Do you know how silly, isolationist and uninformed this post makes you look?Texas Hog wrote:Did you say U.N?
Oh man, What would you know about the HEROISM of many people fighting not wars but real issues relating to peace keeping, development, health, and preventing crisis all over the world! I am sending this message from Africa addressing very serious issues and you come up with this! One day you might wish to really try to learn some of the good things that are done by the UN.
But I understand the negative publicity that some politicians and the media enjoy to throw against the UN. I just wish people would look beyond the propaganda.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Yes, the only whirly thing that gets the boat of some politicians and the sales of some media entertainment go.tcwest10 wrote:Isn't "propaganda" the big whirly thing that makes the boat go fast ?

In that case, I wouldn't look too far beyond it. It seems that that is where all the fun is.
Back on topic, I feel like this thing has only just gotten started. I'm waiting for somebody to file a civil suit for wrongful death, and for somebody to get all wacky on the husband.
Those two kids he had with the other woman are in for some kind of life now.

Ewwww....isolationist, that's too big of a word for my uninformed self.
Why are even discussing the U.N.'s agenda in this post?
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

The Panthers' goofy punter specifically asked for steroids that Christmas. That son of a ... gun has more comin' to him than just a snowball.

If I read one more time how horrible it was for Terry to starve to death I think I'll go nuts.It wasn't horrible for her, nit wits. She's been brain dead for fifteen years. She couldn't feel anything. Check out her cat scans. No lights at all. Complete atrophy of brain cells necessary for thought, sensation, etc. She was, in fact, dead, except for autonomic functions. Sure, a miracle could bring her back to life--just as a miracle could bring Lazarus back to life from death. No difference. However, even if she had been brought back to life miraculously and starved, she still wouldn't have felt any pain because, in order to please her parents, doctors had shot her full of morphine. Get it, at last, world. There was no pain. None. Not one jot of pain. Shut the hell up about the pain. I'm tired of hearing about the pain from you idiots.

Then why read and respond to a thread that has been "dead" for almost a week?

If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a little noose around your neck?
