I wanted him too but I go by the theory, things happen for a reason...

The really good news -- Gibbs did not let Dan throw ka-zillions at a guy that has upside but also has some serious risks.

Unlike others, I don't wish him bad health, that's pointless and not a good thing to wish on someone. I do think that he made a mistake. The Broncos will go no where with Plummer as their QB and that cheating offensive line.

Let's draft Shawne Merriman and be done with it!

You don't know that. I'm amazed that so many people on this site are able figure out someones motives so quickly. He's never played here. I have faith in Gibbs but I'm not sure why you think any player would automatically have that same faith. It's not like we've been a model franchise for the past five years. Maybe he likes to ski? Courtney seems like a nice person. Maybe he dosn't want to be reminded that he was drafted before two other players on this team in the same draft, every single day of the season. Of course I don't know the real reason. I was hoping he would come here but you can't win them all.
Go Skins!!!
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?

It aint pointless! It's a major thing that happened with the Skins. Now, because of this...our draft day might be different.

Come one, get with the program.

Skins Lose Bid for Brown

Post by The Hogster »

I don't know if that is a loss.. That punk signed with the Broncos, now I can go back to not liking him. He is a bumb who has spent more time on IR, than on a football field.

Chump Bailey hated on us to Brown, and I guess he and Lavar, and his own cousin for that matter, are not close enough.

Man I can't wait to laugh at these losers....you all should be as fired up as I am...

I guarantee later in the season we will be thankful we didnt waste a cent on this guy. Im not sure many other DE"s have been as injured and been able to turn it around into being a productive stud.

If you think this thread is pointless then you dont value the opinion of everyone who has posted on it and you are free to move to other threads :)

May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

I pretty much agree, TC. It's always scary when your team is pursuing a historically injury-plagued player that doesn't want to sign an incentive based contract.

I hope that he recovers well and resparks his career in Denver and all that jazz. . .and now it's back to Redskins football once more.

I don't mind losing Brown so much, but where's the action on Dizon at CB and the TE at Denver. I'm getting antsy. After the cap loss with Coles and the Pierce and Smoot deals, my confidence in the front office is beginning to slip a bit. I
think we have real needs at WR, TE, CB, and DE and need some young linemen and a legit backup QB with potential to start down the road. We can't take care of these needs with just the draft. Somebody may be dreaming. They also may be dreaming about current talent on the squad, in all of the above positions. In regard to both, I hope not.

Well I am amazed that the Skins arent getting everyone like the past years. Gibbs is really changing the way the team works, except for the big contracts. (Moss) Well we will have Daniels back next year and Wynn started every game last season.

Back up qb who can start? Gibbs has already said that he is comfortable with the QB's going into this year, and sadly enough, Brunell has a 40 million dollar contract, that is not going to be broken this year...i don't see the Skins looking for a quarterback in free agency.

I do think that the Skins will take a player at WR, TE, CB, and DE in the draft, but I don't think we need more O-Linemen. Who do you think is the weak spot. With the addition of Raybach and return of Jansen, we have good depth. Ray Brown, Molinaro, Raymer, etc. are adequate backups.
