Merged: Dan Snyder Critics / Attendance Record
To all of those fans who criticize Dan Snyder, we can't over look the good things that he has done with the Redskins. Though all of our free agency decisions have not translated into wins, Daniel has done an excellent job marketing the team, and keeping a franchise that has been mired in losing recently, as the #1 NFL franchise as far as attendance and revenue.

Of course alot of the credit goes to US the fans for supporting our team, I just thought I would focus on the positives of the recent decade.
Note to all pessimistic fans...it is not in our tradition to give up...what other franchise that has been losing and missing the playoffs would generate sellout crowds throughout losing seasons?

A packed stadium benefits us all
.
The point is that we as fans continue to support our team...i guess that is a symptom of pessimism, you only focus on the negative side of things...i for one am a ticket holder and enjoy the support that us fans continue to give to OUR team..i go to watch the Skins get a win...not to make Snyder rich.
If it were'nt for fans....Sites like this would not exist....and no one would come to watch the team...why be upset that we support our team?
If Snyder's success is a by product of optimistic fans...I'll take that any day.

Dan Snyder's ownership "experiment" has been a disaster for the most part. The ONLY good thing he has ever done was to bring back Joe Gibbs.
As long he does as he is told by Joe, We will be fine. I hope he is smart enough to enjoy the ride.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Skins set attendance mark for 5th straight year

League sets overall gate record
Associated Press
WASHINGTON -- The Washington Redskins set the NFL's regular-season home paid attendance record for the fifth consecutive year, the league announced Monday.
The Redskins, whose 91,665-seat stadium is the largest in the NFL, drew 707,920 fans -- an average of 88,490 -- for eight home games. The New York Giants (629,874) were second, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs (623,264) and New York Jets (622,985).
Overall, the league had another record year at the gate, setting a record mark for the third straight season. NFL paid attendance for all games -- including exhibitions and playoffs -- was 21,708,624, an increase of nearly 70,000 over the previous record of 21,639,040 in 2003.
NFL regular season games drew 17,000,811 fans, or an average of 66,409 per game.

We got the biggest fan base and we have a losing record. Imagine next season when we return to our winning ways. Redskins fans will appear out of nowhere, kind of like what happened with the Wizards
Clinton Portis 2005-2006 Season tracker
352 carries 1516 yards 11 TDs
30 receptions 216 yards 0 TDs
1/2 17 yards 1 TD 118.8

The best fans are Laker fans.

last year everywhere you looked, you'd see Laker jerseys, stickers, flags et cetera.
But now that they are losing, i dont seem to see any more flags...
I guess they just lost them...

They are the worst, most cynical, biased, self-serving, ignorant, vindictive, members of the sports media anybody can find. Their articles are crap because they reflect their nature.
The views of these lazy bums have only one place to go: the garbage can.
The only argument that SI can understand is via their pockets. DUMP SI!

Sorry you missed last season! Joe Gibbs is back and the team is a lot better. Some only judge by the 6-10 record, but you could see the difference and the improvement on the field.
Even though you missed last year you really would not have enjoyed the offense, but JG will get that organized this year. The defence was meant to be bad to horrible last year but even though Lavar could not play much we were pretty good and Greg will have them back near the top again this year.
Hope you can see some Redskins football this year and you will see how far we've come.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
