The suspense is killing me and I can only imagine what the time must be doing to Jake and the others - all trying to get it in here first.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Redskins | Brown Visits - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 17 Mar 2005 14:39:12 -0800

Gary Fitzgerald, of Redskins.com, reports the Washington Redskins entertained free agent DE Courtney Brown (Browns) Thursday, March 17. Head coach Joe Gibbs said Brown still plans to visit a number of other teams and they will see how it plays out.

Looks like it's not going to get done today. I was hoping it would. Hell it still might who knows.

Nice to see the fo excercising a little patience. It's a two way street...player/management. You want the player, but you want them to want to be here. And not just for financial reasons. By allowing him to see other teams, we can potentially avoid overpaying. My 2 cents

Smells like Gibbs is involved...

C. Brown left without signing but Coach Gibbs says that it was a good visit. Here's the article.

I'm reading there that after the meeting, a few players chatted him up.
Boy, I hope they're good salesmen. :)

Brown just had screws removed from his foot. So he's still injured. Nevertheless, I doubt he finds a better place to work.

...but by all accounts, he passed his physical here while failing the one in Cleveland.
How bad can it be ?

I haven't read anything anywhere that indicates a tabled offer, but there certainly must have been some parameters discussed.
Having said that, our "offer" (if there was one) must not have been all that impressive, seeing as to how the Courtney Brown tour has moved on to the next town.

In that article they made it sound like bad thing that Blanche heavily rotates his ends.

Of course Im not a coach but this sounds like a good thing to me. It'd keep Brown fresh along with everyone, it'd keep the offensive on its heels. Being able to stay fresh throughout the games would maximize his big play potential.

Thats just my My 2 cents .

I...I hope he turns out to be a force for us. We really need to him to come in here and be a monster for us. If he can get that pressure for us on every play, our blitzing will be 10x more effective than it was last season.

Can you imagine how tense these QB's will be with a Sean Taylor, Lavar Arrington, Matt Bowen, or S. Springs coming in for a blitz unblocked? They'll be handing the ball off to our guys as peace offerings.

The choice he makes will detirmine what he thinks he is worth

I think it will be up to how much Brown wants to proof. I he wants to return as a starter as oppose to playing in a rotation then he'll sign with Denver.

I also think he'll do better here rotating with Wynn and Daniels, and less likely to end up on IR

What's really really odd is -- I have NOT seen anything about LeVar trying to coax him here...hopefully, that's happening via phone and no one knows.

Champ is talking to him about Denver -- think he's trashing us? If he is, what a dirty dog he is...maybe we can get Portis to call him and trash Denver. Things like, "Hey Courtney -- you won't want to face that OLine in practice, they'll leg whip ya." "Hey Courtney, between Plummer and Garcia, you ain't sniffing the playoffs." Hey Courtney, Shanahan is an okay coach, we got HOF coach Gibbs here." "Hey Courtney, there isn't much air in Denver."
