Nah, and nothing. :) (Two birds, one stone.) He's only over in Tennessee, where the Titans have him locked up for a year.

Thanks for the "welcome" back. I have been called worse in this board. But talking about "stalking"... Has anybody paid attention to any potential real good kicker in the draft? Is there anyone with good potential?

How about:

Mike Nugent, K, Ohio State
Nugent started all four years for the Buckeyes and as a senior won the Lou Groza Award, given annually to the best collegiate kicker. In 2004, he made 24 of 27 field goals, including five of six from 50 yards or beyond. One of those kicks was a 55-yarder that beat Marshall at the final gun.

The great Gibbs-Skins teams of the past -always- had great kickers.

If they want a soccer player they could sign Freddy Adu.

It'd give him something to do.

Nugent was a great kicker for OSU. BUT, kickers don't always do well with the first team they play with. For some reason, it takes them awhile to excel, maybe it's the pressure. Normally, they figure it out after their original team has given up on them.

I'm sure some of you remember - we had David Akers, the Eagles kicker, before he was one of the top 3 kickers in the NFL. We gave up on him.

Yes, FredP...but, he stunk while we had him. I think that was in the middle of the Conway experiment, too.

Redskins Re-sign K Chandler
By Gary Fitzgerald
Redskins.com
March 28, 2005

The Redskins announced Monday that they have re-signed place kicker Jeff Chandler, an exclusive rights free agent. The Redskins had tendered Chandler his exclusive rights contract offer on March 2. Chandler signed the contract on Monday, officially rejoining the team.

Jeff Chandler
Chandler, 6-2 and 217 pounds, is expected to provide some competition for returning kicker John Hall next season.

Chandler originally signed with the Redskins in December 2004 shortly after the team placed Hall on the injured reserve list. In his first game with Washington and on his first kick, against his former team the San Francisco 49ers, Chandler connected on a career-long 49-yard field. He finished the game with 14 points, going 4-for-4 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points.

Chandler finished the year appearing in five games, three with Washington, connecting on five out of eight field goals and 14 out of 14 extra points.

Chandler originally entered the league as a fourth-round selection (102nd overall) by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2002 NFL Draft. He has played in 13 career games, connecting on 70 percent of his field goals (19-for-27) and 97 percent of his extra points (35-for-36).

Chandler played his college ball at the University of Florida, starting his career there as a walk-on. He ended his collegiate career as the school's all time leader in points (368) and field goals (67). He is also ranked second in SEC history in field goal percentage with an 83.8 percent success rate.

That's a good signing. He wasn't that bad last season....good fit to replace Hall is necessary.
