But i bet that PS3 and XBOX Next will both cost around five hundred bucks.
as of now im fine with XBOX 1 and as long as they keep making games for it, im good.
I've also heard it going to be called Xbox 360. Not sure either name is any good, but what do I know?
I just sold my xbox and got a dvd player, since that's all I had time to use it for. What good is an xbox if you only use it to play Baby Einstein videos for your toddlers?

I dont know. Sony still owns 60% of the market. MS has to be careful or they may go the way of Sega. The dreamcast came out 1st and Sony came out 2nd and killed it graphically...which is debateable. Sony's in a good position. They have the largest backing of 3rd party developers. MS has gained quite a lot but are still largely behind.
This generation proved that its not about graphics, its about the games. Xbox kills the PS2 graphically in general, although the PS2 has games that kill Xbox too. Sony won because it had the best games of almost every genre. What good are those purdy graphics is the game isn't fun to play?

Silly me, I was watching the better animation and game play....I guess when I had my Atari, I did spend more time looking at the console 'cause the games stunk

People are actually arguing about which 25 year old game system is beter? lol

Hey just cause they are older than you, doesn't make it any less of a pertinent argument.

It's just so surreal... it's like arguing that the Maxwell was the best car of the early 1900's!
I can just see you guys on the History channel sitting in a "Gaming Library" discussing the benefits of the Atari vs. other systems while cutting to black and white file footage:
"Some questioned that the Atari's Faux Wood finish was a cheap ploy to draw theplayer's attention away from the poor graphics and gameplay..."
*Cue to black and white movie of some crappy atari game*

Barnstorm, Frogger, Pitfall and Donkey Kong were the only games I liked on Atari (also the only ones I had ). Well, i also had drag racing, but I hated that game. I always blew the engine before finishing the race. I think it translated in to problem I had later in life. I mean, of course, uhhhh, my Echo blew an Engine before I got home from the super bowl....look a flying monkey....
