That would be a waste of a pick IMO. I'd trade down for my picks before doing that. Why waste a high pick on something we already have?

It would have to be detirmined to be a need for us to draft a CB. Do we need a corner is the question...

Trading down down would be a good move if we could stay in the top 20

IMO I don't consider corner a need. I believe that our younger guys are capable. I believe that Walt Harris is good enough. I believe Wilds has potential to take over. Lott, Clark and Bowen can be a nickel back. I think we could pick someone up in a later round to add some more depth.

It all depends on what moves are made up till the draft. As far as right now, I believe DE is a great concern and MLB following that. I only mention MLB for depth concerns.

Yeeeesh, This is like comparing a nice surf & turf to turd tar-tar.

I really do root for Darnerian. I hope he steps up his level of play this year. D was inactive because he is not a 'teams player. A coach would be fired if he put Mike Williams on ST duty.

In the immortal words of Bevis - "You can rub it, an rub it, just can't polish a turd."

Amend:
Big Mike Williams will be a star. He will require a double maybe triple team in the redzone. I am soo glad we have Sean Taylor to counter these gigantic WRs that are the rage in the NFL and the future. Can you imagine guys as tall and athletic as Kobe playing WR? Mike Williams will be an evolutionary point in the NFL.

It is funny how everyone is such a psychic. None of us know who is going to be the best WR....there are so many variables in it...it sounds foolish to rank these guys they way a lot of peole do...certainly we have measurables to go by, but if we did that...Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, Chris Carter, would suck...and Michael Westbrook would be still in the league...the real question is Can the guy play professional football? Not, can he run a 4.5 in shorts, or be chiseled up at the combine...geez..make predictions but don't lecture people like you are a Mel Kiper/Dionne Warwick
SPIT HAPPENS!!

Mike Williams is light years better than D-Mac...

Mike Williams = Michael Irvin

D-Mac = Phil McConkey

I believe that Walt Harris is good enough. quote]

If walt harris was good enough.. why didn't he beat out smoot...

Every was just saying how smoot wasn't an elite corner... we shouldn't pay him top dollar... We had Walt Harris last year if he could beat smoot..(which isn't a top corner) how bad is Walt Harris?????

the answer is bad... ask some Bears fans if Walt Harris is any good... if we go into the year with Harris as our starting corner...everyone will be bitching about him on monday's... right that down....

remember this .....

Meantime, the Redskins' secondary is heading into this game with question marks at cornerback. Shawn Springs will start at one spot, but Fred Smoot is doubtful due to a lower back injury and backup Ade Jimoh is out with an ankle injury.

Veteran Walt Harris would likely start for Smoot. Undrafted rookies Garnell Wilds and Rufus Brown would then serve as the nickel and dime cornerbacks. Wilds has seen limited action on special teams this year, while Brown was activated from the practice squad this week.

Depth was a problem at the end of last season and we have lost Smoot. So CB is a need but how big of a need is the question. Do we need to find a starter or are we looking for depth.

If we are looking for a starter I'd look to the draft and A. Rolle. If we're just looking to add depth then I'd wait and see what happens after June 1st

Mike Williams is also going to have a lot more zeros in his bank account - for all the reasons already stated. DMc didn't get much of a shot - but did he earn it in practice? I don't know, but all the dropsies were out there for far too long - DMc didn't impress with his work ethic enough to push out the starters.

He didn't impress enough to get on the active roster most weeks.

I'm hoping this will motivate him to go out and prove the nay-sayers wrong. This can only help the team

Good Point Nik, not a good sign eh? I've been trying to find stuff on Moss - He's going to help us a lot I think... another bad sign for DMac.
