TheHogs.net Mock Draft

Post by VASkin27 »

Hey yall, I don't mean to be nosey or impatient, but is there a date set for this site's first mock draft? I'm looking foward to seeing a mock draft by people who actually know about the skins and our needs. No pressure, I'm just curious.

A few folks have already posted thier mock drafts. It was a few weeks ago in the draft forum. I think the title was something like "Unofficial Draft Contest."

Thanks Chad, but I'm talking about the official Mock Draft put up by the website. It says "Coming Soon" when you try to click on it.

Sorry I missed this. We will post mock over the weekend, it will be up by monday at the latest. it will be the first of three or four that we do before the draft as we 'fine tune' our selections and free agency smoothes out the teams needs a little more.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I just didn't see the post.

If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a little noose around your neck?

Good draft fellas, but don't you think we could trade down and still get Miller? Hmmmm....

No, personally I do not. I've said it at least a dozen times, I don't think we can trade down period. It's going to take a very particular situation for someone to want to move up in a draft with lots of talent, but little superstar talent.

You're probably right... Miller looks like a good player though, but I wonder if we might take a DE... this is going to be an exciting draft with lots of ?'s! :)

You have to understand that this mock is based on our opinion based on team needs and weaknesses. It also the first of several. While our mock may be written off based on who we have going where, ours at least is based on OUR thoughts and not a survey based on other sites and so called "experts". That is what makes our mock different, we are just real fans like you doing what the Mel Kiper's of the world do for a whole lot more money and in the end we are just as successful in our prognostication.

Heath Miller should not be our target in this draft. He is a good player but it takes an exceptionally talented player to be worthy of a Top 10 pick at the TE position. He is not THAT good.

I hope we take either Antrell Rolle or Pac Man Jones at #9.

It's good to see that it isn't biased.

Most of the mock drafts I've seen around this board all have us getting Mike Williams at #9. I believe that there is no chance of Mike Williams falling to #9 going past Chicago, Tampa, Tennessee, and Minn.

The only question mark I see is the Lions taking JJ Arrington at #11.

But none the less it provides an interesting view point, Job Well Done!
