Family Guy situation

Post by Irn-Bru »

I know that we've got one or two (at least) Family Guy fans on the board.

My housemates and I have been quoting a few particular scenes all semester and want to find them on the DVDs. Because they are all 'cutaway' scenes (that happen about 50 times an episode with little to no relevance to the episode at hand), it's frustrating us to no end. We don't really have time (or the interest) to sit and watch through them all, as we've seen each episode probably close to 10 times by now. So we know these scenes really well but want to know which episodes they are in so that we can find just that scene and watch it. . . . . .if that makes any sense at all.

So if anyone can locate these scenes off the top of your head and feels like helping a kid out, you'll win a prize.

* Scene where Peter is a silhouette with another person (also a silhouette) facing him, and they put words together. Peter is too slow, and ends up attacking the guy.

* "Black to the Future", funk-driven movie that parodies Back to the Future with a black man (a relative of Peter's, I think) as the main character.

* Peter is on a game show with a celebrity (can't remember who), and he's gotta get the celeb. to say "flaming" using verbal clues. All he says is "Yooooooouuuuu" and the celeb can't get it ("Actor"?). . .

* Chris is disappointed for some reason, and a vaudville looking character comes in to cheer him up. VC tells him to get a schtick--"Me? I'm a tumbler!" . . .Guy falls down and needs Chris to feed him a pill

That's all. I know, I know, it makes it sound like I just need to get off my lazy butt and watch through all the episodes to find out. Spring break is coming up rather soon. . . . (But seriously, any tips would be appreciated).

-Not exactly sure what episode, but I think its a job Peter used to have.

-"If I'm Dyin' I'm Lyin'" DVD Volume 1 / Disc 3

-"Wasted Talent" DVD Volume 1 / Disc 4
This is the funniest episode...

-No idea, sorry.

Can't wait til May 1, I believe that is the date of the new season.

Yep the one where it's a silohette is a spoof of the Electric Company for us older folks here. It was on the epidisode where Peter accidently kills his boss and becomes a jouster. Hope that helps. We've just started watching. That was one of the first we've seen. ;-) General Failure may be able to help you here, he's the real Family Guy buff around here.

I beleive the first silhouette episode making fun of the electric company was Mr. Saturday Knight, the one that starts off with Peter's boss showing up fr dinner and subsequently dying.

It was Tony Randall

Narrator: "The Password is 'Flaming'."
Peter: "Yoooooou..."
Tony: "Act-or?"
Peter: "No, no. Yooooooou..."
Tony: "Tony?"
Peter: "No, listen. Yooooooooouuu..."

Thanks for the help, everyone. I actually just watched the Black to the Future bit thanks to Hill66. . .and ended up watching the entire episode ("Gumble 2 Gumble" is just too good to be true).

So now all that is left is finding the scene with the tumbler. A friend of mine told me today during class that he thinks the tumbler character appears in the episode where Peter finds out that Chris is more of a 'man' than him. I'll have to check on that.
