The best news that i have heard all offseason ......

Post by Hog lover »

D-Mac is in the Redskins plans for next season. Please forgive me if this has already been discussed but i truly believe that this is a blessing for the Redskins.

Although I may be bit more excited due to the fact that i graduated from the same class as D-Mac at Delaware State as well as shared a few laughs w/ him. I truly believe we are headed in the right direction. I believe in D-Mac we have someone who is just scratching the surface as far as his capabilities, he is just a natural athlete who can compete with the best of them. To bad my team(Metro Stars) used to beat up the football team in Int. Basketball on campus (D-Mac showed great athletism back then even shooting nice 15th jump shot or even coming down w/ monsterous dunks. I can recall the last yr of undergrad for me at Del. State where a young man who really was a track star scored 10 touchdowns in two games. To us that knew him it was a surprise initially but if you look at him 6'3 215lbs with raw athletic ability the sky is really the limit. In closing i would like to say Congrats to D-Mac from a old associate.

Yes, I was very worried that the Redskins wouldn't have a 5th string reciever for next season, whew!

lol, you guys are funny but i will go on record to say that if we dont get M. Williams next year there is a possibility that he could lead us in touchdown receptions!

Chris Samuels staying was huge in my book. He was the 1 guy you had to keep under contact and you did a good job keeping him.

You, I did do a good job. It was touch and go for a while, but BossHog and Jake and I eventually got the deal done. No...not really, I can't back that up.

McCants will play well in the redzone if given an opportunity. However, it is unlikely.

Hog lover-- since you have actually spent some time hanging around darnerian in person, perhaps you could do us all a favor and tell us what he's like, character-wise. does he seem like a good, hard-working guy? or does he fit this "primadonna" image that so many are casting him as lately?

as for you guys, skinsfan33, skinsfan55, and washington53, apparently you have never watched mccants play, so you might be better off not commenting about him. he has been productive EVERY TIME he has been on the field. what other WRs we've had can you say that about? if he gets on the field this season, he will be productive again. he will get a good amount of TDs. he will pick up some big 3rd down plays. just like he always did.

The only games I have missed in the past 15years have been when I was out to Sea (Sailors do that sort of thing), but I would say I have seen 95% of his plays and I just don't agree with you. I do think he could be a Alvin Harper type WR, but we have no M. Irvin on the other side, but Harper was really not a very good WR. So there you have it. I would love it if I was wrong because he is my favorite Skins WR, in Madden 2005 that is!

I'm too sick and tired (literally) to intelligently debate this issue one more time, so all I'll say is I'm glad some of you people don't make the decision as to who stays and who goes. McCants can produce. He will produce and then all of you guys will find another so and so must go bandwagon to jump on.

McCants played very little last year, so people forget that when he is on the field you don't see him dropping balls, or don't remember his routine accomplishments in the redzone.

Who know's the reasons why he got so little playing time last year but I believe D-Mac will be better than he was the year before last but only time will tell

We heard the same thing last year, I'll believe it when I see it. With the additions of Patten and Moss, I don't know where McCants fits in. None of them appear to be an easy call #1 WR which works in McCanta favor.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!
