WHO WOULD YOU CUT TO MAKE CAP ROOM?

Post by The Hogster »

Who would you all cut to give us some cap room?

Chad Morton is looking very cut-able, So is Darnerian McCants. I like McCants but why pay him if you are not going to use him?

I don't believe cutting Morton offers much savings.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

I would also cut Chad Morton ... and find a way to save some money on Brunell ie.. trade, release , or hire somebody to knock him off

Raymer or Friedman is gone -- both are slated to make around $1 mil in 2005 -- there's a few draft picks...

Cutting or trading Morton or Brunell actually would cost us cap room: not save it!

I agree, Brunell should agree to re-structure, but then again, it is not his fault we over paid for him

Brunell should restructure his deal - he sucks the shinola off shingles from Syria... and he knows it. If he take the high road, he could stick around a while - otherwise, he'll go down as a has been who once backed up Favre. He should take the first step, offer a reduced deal and be quiet afterwards.

everyone that you cut will result in an accelerated cap Eit. So why would you cut anyone? You won't be saving any money. We definetly have a few overpaid players...Morton, Wynn, Freidman...but getting rid of them will only save us money on next years cap.

This is the problem with the salary cap. You have one chance to guess right on a players value. If you're wrong....you're screwed.

Wynn is ok... he made us lots of money through the restructure.

I don't see us cutting anyone that would make that much of a difference in the cap this year. I say go with what we got and draft smart. Then fill the holes next year when we have more money to play with.

Yeah, but we aren't going to have more money to play with next year either. Not unless we cut people now. And we don't have the cap room to do that. We're pretty much stuck with the guys that we have now.

I'd forgotten about this approach. I agree.....Brunell should w/o a doubt restructure and take less in salary for that matter. Fill it full of incentives, if necessary.

Why the hell did we ever sign Phillip Daniels? Just wondering......... Also I think if we seriously need to cut some cap room we should release Ethan Albright, his salary is a freaking blow to our cap space

When was the last botched special teams snap? If you don't remember, you shoudl like Ethan Albright. The last two I remember were with his predecessor (R.I.P. Dan).
