gardner trade?
Is there anyway that we could get a CB in the trade? I don't think that we will if he goes to the Vikes, but in any other place may be......

Now, thats a great post!
I was going to post in the anger management section but this just made me feel a whole lot better. Thanks JF!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I doubt we're trading Gardner for a player. We will probably get a draft pick in return.

Terri! I heard that we offered to pay AND a player but we didn't have anyone left!
Hopefully some GM out there thinks that 50/50 is going to be great someday.
I even tried church this week!

why? Gardner is a proven WR he has a 1,000 yard season under his belt... was a top 15 pick... has gone through probably 4 or 5 systems...
how many 1000 yard seasons has McCants had?????
Gardner will be productive in the right system....
See right now I'm on lettuce... Pretty soon I'll be on fries... After that.. The grill... And after that... Comes Assistant. Manager.... and That's When the Big Bucks roll in!

I think the teams were Seattle, Cleveland (may be wrong there) and the Vikes. But I think the best fit for Rod would be in Seattle...with as many dropped passes as Darrell Jackson and Koren Robinson had last season, they'd look at Rod as a godsend...

Two formation shifts, one man in motion, and a counter trey...those were the days...

The bottom two seem to be longshots.

The Bucs have Galloway and Clayton, they'll go for Gardner as what a 3rd WR? Doubtful.
Ravens have Mason, and don't trade draft picks. They just don't.
Minnesota makes sense.

On what do you base that? The fact that even in college he never caught many balls or on his first three years in the NFL. Or is it just a WAG (Wild A$$ Guess). I like McCants, but I don't THINK that he would be any better than a 40 or 50 catch guy if he was on the field a lot.
Plain simple fact and I know that I am going to get blasted for this, but Gardner is a better WR than Moss.

I think we might be surprised just what we could get for Gardner. I hope we are marketing him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick, instead of trying to dump him off for a 5th round pick.
Think about it. What team could draft a rookie receiver in the 5th round that can come in and catch 60 balls for 1000 yds, & 6 tds. We should get value for this guy.

Maybe the Vikings would be stupid enough to give up their 18th pick for him and to finalize the deal Tice could slide them some free Super Bowl tickets.

Thanks JansenFan I needed a good laugh today with all this bad news. This has been a horrible offseason and I am depressed.

McCants played TE mostly for the Blue Hens and his senior numbers were not too shabby. 36 catches for 18 touchdowns.
Every other catch for a TD?????? Better than Diddier time !!

I think the three teams are cleveland , vikes , and seattle. I think cleveland makes most since cause they really don't have a great number one WR. You guys gotta remember that most teams don't think of gardner as 50/50. They think of him as a guy that caught 50 passes last year, and had a pretty decent season last year. They'll give him slack for this year because of gibbs' system. I think we'd be crazy to let him go for less than a high third, but i see us only getting a 3rd rounder, maybe even a 4th for him.
