Best Player Available or Position Need?

Post by The Hogster »

What is your philosophy? If Williams and Edwards are gone at receiver, do you draft:

1. The next best receiver.
2. Top Cornerback or D-End.
3. The Best Player avaialable.

This is not a poll, just want to hear the different philosophies and rationales.

really depends what we get for Gardner.... although I'm not expecting much....

I'd like to trade back and pick up a 2nd round pick... if they can accomplish that.... I still think they can pick up a decent CB or pass rushing DE in the first round and get the other or another OL, MLB in the second...

if they can't trade back... I'd think they'll stay at #9 and draft one of the 2 CB....My 2 cents

My thoughts? First day, get what we need. Second day, get best person available. If you go too long getting position need players, you saturate yourself.

I think we should try and trade down first. This draft is deep enough at our position needs. If we can't do that, then I agree with BTP...CB
