im not crying that he left. But i aint happy either.
But guys hes a good player and everything....
But when a guy takes 1-2 mil and abandon one of the best
Ds in the leaguethen he doesnt deserve to be with us,
and i have mai door shut for him to come back.
He will regret it, once we make the playoffs
and kill the vikings.

Defense wins championships
I dont think its automatic we draft a CB with the 9th pick. The top 8 picks will determine how we go. For example if both M. Williams and B. Edwards are gone I think we go with the best CB available. We will see it will be interesting indeed how we proceed.
If we learned anything last year its that G. Williams doesnt need the best talent to put a great defense together. Im not too worried as long as that talent is not Ade Jimoh. This will make the draft alot more interesting.

Oopsies! What's that taste like?

With the signing of patten, moss, and having jacobs, mccants, trash we will get a wr in the later rounds, we would have to be crazy not to take rolle. A physical cb with great cover skills should be a lock, best available talent if still there.

FOXSports.com has learned that the Vikings have agreed to terms with former Redskins cornerback Fred Smoot on a multi-year, $34 million deal that includes $10.8 million to sign.
Smoot is the third major addition the Vikings have made to their defense, including former Raiders linebacker Napoleon Harris (acquired in the Randy Moss trade) and former Bills defensive tackle Pat Williams (acquired via free agency).
The Redskins had earlier offered Smoot a deal for $10 million to sign, but he was able to better the deal in Minnesota, the team with the best cap position in the NFL entering free agency.
He signed a deal for 8k More.

A true redskin he is not.

I love Smoot as much as the next guy but, for .8 million...comm'on....do you think he really wanted to stay?
Its all good becasue Antrelle Rolle is going to be a stud and he is bigger and more physical. That is great to have S Taylor, Bowen, Springs and Rolle. Especially that I hear the Eagles may make a run for Plax Burress.
Springs does not have but, 3 yrs or so lft in him so Rolle would be a good pick up and we can get a nice receiver by trading later round picks to move to 2nd and grab that Jackson guy from 1AA

Coach Gibbs will return us to glory once again
the only reason i'm upset that smoot went to the vikings is that now it's almost certain the vikings are taking a WR at #7...i thought at first that they would go after antrelle rolle, but now mike williams will be a viking.
oh well, i think we should trade down...get a WR in Williamson or Clayton in our first round, then pick up a pass rushing DE in the 2 round if we can get one...i like justin tuck for a late second, early third...

Looks like that financial burden of 06' is already causing problems in 05'.
