Just a hypothetical question....
If the 6th round roles around on draft day and Maurice Clarett was still there would u draft him? I know he has character issues and Gibbs frowns upon that but i cant help to think he could be a steal. What do u think?
Roll on over to the Draft section...this was discussed a few days ago:

I wouldn't touch him now...he is slow and because of his time he quit the rest of the combine.
LOSER!

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Assuming that he did drop that far, he might be a steal for some team, but probably not ours. He came back into the media spotlight professing that he had changed both physically and emotionally. . .promised that he had matured and was ready for the NFL. His disastrous move to quit the workouts after running a disappointing 40 time says something about him. . .makes one wonder whether or not the character issues have gone away.
In our thread in the draft day section was an interesting article in defense of Clarret that basically said he had worked too hard and psyched himself out of a good 40 time. I wasn't persuaded by it, but it's another perspective.
I don't see him getting drafted, he'll probably get picked up by the raiders in free agency though. The RB position is too deep to go after a guy with huge character issues and is that slow. Not to mention he wouldn't have been an incredibly high pick when he first tried to get in the draft, now with two years out of football who knows about this guy, he also had injury issues in college.

Clarett could be a steal for a team needy for a big, short yardage backup...if Ron Dayne can make it, why not Clarett..speed is not everything if you have good vision, are shifty and can get the tough yard. Clarett is probably faster than the time he ran...once he gets back into live football, he should get his speed back. Also, he was never really fast, and he still put up those big numbers in the National Championship year. He deserves a shot before a fast but unproven back and could be a pretty good changeup back for a team that has a smaller starter. Sounds like us, but I just don't think Gibbs would bite on that

two words:
Ron Dayne...
actually Ron Dayne is Clarett's daddy.... enough said....
