Quarterback
Does anyone besides me think we should draft a QB to groom as a serviceable backup or possibly a future starter? I dont think we should invest a high pick, but maybe 5th rounder or so.

I was about to say no categorically, but I guess if we lost hasselbeck through free agency, it would sound less 'silly'.
But picking up a project would seem a luxury that we can't afford right now. We have more important slots to try and fill than a clipboard carrying QB.
Practice squads are usually a pretty good place to steal someone else's 'project' anyway. So unless you're getting what you consider a draft day 'steal'... it's not worth it IMO.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
... and you think that a guy drafted in the 5th or 6th round of THIS year's draft WILL be the solution if that happens?
There's always some old journeyman who didn't get picked up by a team that would give you a better shot at winning games than that IMO.

if Tom Brady is there in the 5th or 6th round... I'd say we should take him
...although we don't have a 5th so that might be kinda hard...
otherwise... I'd say, let's wait one more year before we look for "the future".... just to see how Ramsey does handle a full year under a Gibbs offense...

Oopsies! What's that taste like?

But BTP, if Tom Brady is still there in the 5th or 6th do you think he will be worth a pick this time? I mean does lightning strike twice with these guys?
Now we could see if Dallas wants to trade Drew! He was so much better than Tom at school, just ask Jansen!

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

If Tom Brady is still there in the 5th round, we should definately use the pick we don't have to select him
What would we have to lose

My thoughts exactly! This way we don't waste a pick on a guy that's most likely just another QB!!
You're right BTP - 1niksder's a keeper!
