Redskin One grounded

I was thinking what would keep Dan Snyder from gassing up Redskin One on March 3rd and doing yet another free agent splurge....and I looked out my window and saw the snow.

Yeah, the snow is supposed to stop tomorrow but if it was a blizzard would The Danny keep Redskin One in the hangar?

Maybe....but then I pictured in my big head Danny Boy flying through the air on a snowmobile...with Vinny on the back, arms wrapped tightly around the tiny waist of Dan Snyder. With their burgundy and gold scarves blowing in the wind, and frozen snot dangling from their chin. Stopping at nothing to spend some mulla on an over-aged athelete.
For good measure, they'd be dragging Eric Schaffer (Redskin cap specialist) on a sled behind them. He'd still be in his suit and holding a briefcase.

Ahhh, too bad we're not in Minnastota, cause we would probably see this for real

On a serious note...you may remember the 2003 Free Agency...it was snowing...A LOT! And that was the night (midnight to be exact) that Redskin One picked up Dave Fiore and the JetSkins....so no....weather will never hamper Snyder's free agent splash...but it fun to picture him going all out. Even if it is on a burgundy and gold tri-cycle.

Hahaha, hopefully Hurricane Gibbs can curb the spending and only get the players HE wants and no foolish Danny player binges!

well for one we are out of cap room to fly.This is not looking to good if we are going to pay 15 million for Rolle.Smoot is cheaper.

thats what i'm saying probowl tom. We get a younger better value and potentially better player with better values. Yes he runs his mouth but i like it. Every team needs one of those guys

When I heard 15 mil for Rolle, I was so ticked off...I still can't believe that this group of guys, Gibbs included, doesn't realize this is NOT the way to build a winner in the NFL. It will not work, it has NOT worked...I wish I could say, "Gibbs knows what he's doing" but am not sure I can. The guy was a genius the first time around...

It's so gross and so much like the rest of the young people today -- go for it now, worry about tomorrow tomorrow. I was hoping that we'd begin to deal with our cap issues and not make them worse. What signal does this send to Smoot, Pierce and every other good player we have? It says, we don't care about you...we want some guy who has never played here before and we'll pay him more than you. There is no freaking team spirit on this team, I wonder why?? it makes me want to puke. I look back on what Marty was doing when he was here and he was right...way right....

I have to say, this news is seriously making me wonder why I freaking bother...As it says below the line, I've been a Skins fan for over 25 years..we have become the Yankees of the NFL -- oh yeah, only one problem, we don't win!

Now, wait a minute...You're getting all worked up about a rumor. There's no deal signed yet. There's no conceivable way the team offers Rolle 15 mil and Smoot only 10. No way.
Let it play out first.
Oh, and I think Danny probably has a B&G Humvee all fired up, waiting for this type of weather. Remember the old adage. "A fool and his money..."

tcwest10 -- I know the deal isn't final yet but there's someone in the Skins front office that leaks stuff, it's been happening since Snyder and Cerrato came. These rumors always seem to come true. I almost think it's Cerrato. He's a freaking worm...a real slimy character...I can't believe Gibbs likes him. Maybe 5.8 mil a year can make you like anyone, huh?

Gibbs likes him because Gibbs has to like him. You don't get to pick your bosses and peers. Maybe it's enough for Joe that VC got pushed aside when Joe came in.

For example, how many times in the past six months has the Pope been at "death's door", only to appear two days later, grinning like it's going out of style ? It's always somebody from inside the Vatican, too, that leaks it.
You see where I'm going with this ?

Either way Vinny and Dannyboy just get their kicks about all the media attention and i think that he's too rich to really care about our record. Its like he's playing a game or something. We have great potential but he likes to have the flashy players and they never pan out. Give me a break.
